I'm so new to this, help

Hello I am new to this site and also new to the LG500 Android Optimum One by Google.
The phone is an MP3 player,......correct?
How do I put songs on it?
Can I put the music from my laptop onto the Android? If so how?
I should warn you that it has to be in English and very easy step by step,............It's taking everything I have just to post this!
My laptop is Windows Vista.

Computer - Removable disk (G (or whatever)
Browse to media\music
