media player does not recognise music on sd card

Hi there, I'm new here, so, hello!

I have an HTC incredible s which is my first android phone. Having a small problem with my music players (winamp, and the one that came with the phone). They work fine with most of my music, but I recently manually imported some music from my computer, by mounting phone as storage device via usb, and for some reason, my media players can't find the files on my phone. I've used es explorer to locate the files on my SD card, in the music folder, where they should be, and I can even play them from the explorer by tapping on them, but they still don't show up in my media players...

Hope someone van help me fix this...
 
I've recently noticed the same issue. I use poweramp and my music is on sdcard/medica/music but the stock player and other apps like "cover art downloader" say no music found :(
 
i had same problem.
just find .nomedia file on your sd card,
there will be many .nomedia file's in your sd card,
delete only sdcard:\.nomedia file.

i had same problem.
just find .nomedia file on your sd card,
there will be many .nomedia file's in your sd card,
delete only sdcard:\.nomedia file.
 
Thanks Marvin, I found an SD rescanning tool and it did the trick - SDrescan is the name if any one wants it... now happily listening to all my tunes again :)
