Heh, yeah. That phone had 'leaked' photos way back in August of last year. I was following that one intently for quite a while.
 
Well last year the announcement for the EVO release date was May 12th (The second Wednesday in May) so if they are following the same schedule the announcement would come tomorrow.

Of course, last year Sprint announced weeks in advance that they would be holding a special EVO event on May 12th, this year no special EVO 3D events have been announced.


I wonder how much iphone5 is effecting the drop date for EVO 3D. Sprint would want this phone out before the iphone and with all indications that the iphone 5 is to be released later this year (or early 2012) rather than sooner could that delay the release of EVO 3D in order to fine tune it?
 
I know June has been been thrown around a lot all over the web.

But I really believe we will be looking at a July or August release.

Everything has been super quiet regarding the E3D. Besided the Best Buy pre-order (and that wasnt even made public) we have heard nothing in the last few weeks.

Not a good sign for a phone that is suppose to be released in almost exactly 30 days.

The Best Buy pre-order is public, it was only a "secret" for one day

Not as quite as this. There was a Special EVO event that was planned for middle of May that Sprint was hyping for a while.

As some people have speculated, I don't think we'll hear anything until after the sensation is launched. Why step on theyre own toes?

I can almost assure you that "the list" don't mean jack in a sprint store. The fact that its not a paid pre-order means that simply you are just a name on a piece of paper with no priority over any person that just walks in the store to buy one. My sprint store last year literally had a list of a few hundred people for the evo 4g and all they did with that list was call customers to let them know that the phone was available and you can come and purchase it with no specific priority. Now I been with sprint for almost 10 years and I been going to the same sprint store for that length of time so I have a decent relationship with some of the employees that have been there for a while. My main contact know without a doubt that I will come and get it so once its a day or so before the actual release I will make sure that he has my info so the day of I just walk in get my phones and walk out without having to wait in any lines or even having to pay since he can just charge it to my account.

I think you are right.

Rumor going around is Evo 3d in India and Europe on June 30th. I think we will see it in the states around that time. First 2 weeks into July.

what's the source of that rumour? because it's quite exciting news for me if true, being in the UK. although there have been even less details about a european evo 3D than the US one

I just don't see the evo 3d coming out in europe before we can get it. The evo craze started with the evo 4g on sprint so therefore we should be rewarded with the opportunity in getting the evo3d before anyone else gets it. So I am guessing the evo 3d comes out sometime in june and the overseas version will come out the beginning of july.

i think preordering it was the worst thing to do. Now All i think about is the release date on this damn thing!

No toes to step on here. HTC doesn't have anything to do with when it is released, and Sprint won't care about the release of a phone somewhere else.
 
I refuse to preorder any phone without an official release date and price. Look what happened to the thunderbolt crowd.
