So, how is the OTA treating you?

Did it fix any issues that you had?

For me, at least so far, it's giving me good 3G connection when I'm not in range of 4G, which is awesome, because that was becoming really frustrating in losing my connection all the time.

I rooted the long way, had clockwork recovery on my phone. I just tried downloading the ota, and when the phone tried to reboot it just gave an exclamation point in a triangle with a small android figure. I had to factory reset and now I lost root? Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

A few hours after installing the update (without any issues) I was on a 10 minute phone call, as soon as I hung up from that call my phone rebooted.

I did not have random reboots prior to the update. Hope this was a fluke occurrence.

Also, my camcorders sound is much better now. Could still be a little louder but huge improvement with this update.

Have not tested the GPS and never had any 3G problems so I can't judge those fixes.

fyi the ota was leaked weeks ago for rooted users. the leaked file for rooters and today's ota are the same.
reboots are common with this update. not everyone experienced them but most including myself have multiple times a day:mad:

That's exactly what I was worried about when it happened. I was hoping the delay was to fix that issue. Guess not.

I have 5 random reboots a day. At least it will not reboot mid phone call, though. Only RIGHT AFTER. Still frustrating.

Lets see did the OTA and no signal what so ever. Had to get a new sim card. Now my phone reboots about every 5 to 10 minutes. My 3g now locks up like it did with 4g if the phone isnt charging. Half the times when it reboots I have no signal what so ever and have to reboot. It will turn on airplane mode and wifi. If I turn airplane mode off. It will turn it back on.

If anyone hasnt done the OTA update I implore you do not do it. Save yourself the headache of this crap update.

Overall not much different for me. My phone did lose 4G service for a while. I rebooted and it was back. I did have 3G service at the time however which is an improvement than before when I would lose both 4G and 3G. I do think they should have addressed 4G staying connected. No random reboots for me so far and nothing really amazing with this update

Thats odd. My phone runs perfectly.

Mine runs close to perfection. I did have GPS lock-up issues when I first got my TB but used the GPS status app and that fixed that.

A few quick observations since the update:

- The 4G speeds are back to what they were before the LTE outage (50% or so increase)
- My GPS now locks up in 8 seconds from a cold boot and about 3 seconds from a warm boot
- Initial feel is that my battery life may have improved slightly. I switch from 3G to 4G often so will need more time to really know.

No issues thus far. But admittedly, I've only had it for a short while and haven't really done anything except use the 4G mobile hotspot since my cable is out due to a storm. Haven't had any problems in that regard.

Bluetooth keeps dropping when I'm on a phone call. Streams music fine. Worked perfect before the update.

I can actually attest to the random reboots as well. Had it in my pocket about 5 or 6 this evening, and all of a sudden it vibrated. Took it out of my pocket and was staring at the TB boot screen.

Then just now, about...10? It reboots again, just randomly. This ain't good. I thought it might have been a mistake but that can't be right.

The thing I'm worried about is that it'll take months for verizon to get off their duffs and fix it.

Just to be clear, this was a stock upgrade from original software to the OTA. No root or anything. Experiencing reboots, but better signal strength, at least for now.

Well the only problem i had was getting the OTA i had to download the LTE ONOFF from the market and have my phone do CDMA ONLY to get 1x connection finally i got the update downloaded it and everything worked fine. Prior to the OTA i havent noticed any random reboots or anything..my phone has acted great except of course battery life like all of us have and how the phone hmgets hot real quick but besides that its been a great phone. No problems here..infact the update has made my 3g connection better battery temperture way better.

Yeah I mean everything's great except for the random reboots, lol. I even got Fast Boot working (apparently it was an issue for some when running on 3G)

You need to take the handset back to a Verizon store then. Mine works fine no rebooting or signal issues at all.
