Root Netflix Streaming on D2!

Hey guys...I am very new to android...love it! but would love to have netflix on my Droid 2. Can someone elaborate for me exactly what you mean when you say you are running the netflix app with gingerbread? Is this something that would be above my head to make happen? sorry if this is a stupid question...

You need to be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread in order to be able to run Netflix. Unless you're comfortable rooting, backing-up, and rom'ing don't try it.

There's no such thing as stupid questions, this is a forum for questions after all.

Thanks for your response, I do have my phone rooted, but I have never messed with the ROM, that is the part that I am unsure about??

Nope, tried running it on stock and Fission roms with little luck. It lets me queue the movies, and it does play about .5 seconds of it, but then it just takes me back to the movie menu. Its probably my phone? It gets jammed up when I install the gingerbread leak. Thanks for the help, though. Guess I'll wait...

well, I tried both of the links for the disabling of the device check, the first one wouldn't download, the second one you provided downloaded fine, but still says my device is not supported, then says I need a newer version of the app...

Update: Finally found an apk that worked, let me log in and can manage que, but when I try to stream, it loads movie, brings up the player, then goes back to the que screen... :*(

So far, that's the best that I've seen, too. :(

Try this one. Fully working on my DROID2

Got it to work on my Droid 2, but only on Liberty so far- which sucks my battery dry in an hour flat. Still waiting...
