The killer iPhone application OrbLive (to watch LiveTV in iPhone) is now available for Android OS.

No need to sync or copy any of your favorite movies, music collections to Phone... just keep your media as it is in your home computer --> Index them in your PC with Orb's server application (free app available both for Windows & Mac) --> Stream to your Android Phone over Wi-Fi/ 3G or EDGE by using either OrbMusic, OrbMedia or OrbLive.

With OrbLive you can even watch LiveTV, Webcam, iTV, iRadio channels.
You need a compatible TV tuner available in your Windows PC for LiveTV streaming.
For internet TV/ internet Radio - No extra gadget required.

I would suggest you to try "OrbLive Free" - A free application to confirm that, your device is well set & full filling your need before going for the paid one...

Great suggestion, Sanjib. I've been using Orb on my home computer for months and it works beautifully. I was quite pleased to see several variations of the Android flavor of the app and when I get my next paycheck I'll buy the full app.

free version doesn't work for me. The server has connect/reconnect issues (Windows 7 64-bit). When it is connected, the android app has weird bugs (the Free Orblive on Nexus One).

It takes many times going forward and back, or logging out and back in, to make folders show up. Even then, only a couple show up. And it keeps leaving the "audio" area/tab and taking me to "video" (I don't even have any video).

I'm sticking with Mecanto until this is fixed or Simplify makes an Android app.

I couldn't get Subsonic to work, but I've been using Gmote, and like it quite a bit. It seems quicker than Mecanto.

Orb only charges $.99 for the app? They should've made it donationware-- I'd give $40 for a really good streaming music player...
