Help x10i restart problem

i have updated my fone to 2.2 , before i had 2.1 and my fone was restarting by itself. i had updated several times to 2.1 but stil was facing the same problem.
now after 2.2 update.. my fone still restarts frequently, and after using it for10-12 hours it start giving error of force close. and now it main screen appears and it restarts :S
what should i do ? any suggestions?

Completely format the SDCard. Install whatever version you want and for the next 8 hours after installing what ever version you chose install NO additional apps. Don't download anything else. Use the custom ROM or 2.1 stock and install and change absolutely nothing for 10-12 hours. Don't load messages if you have more than 50 contacts, don't even load them....don't sync or connect to google.

Then does the problem persist?

If not, install 2 apps a day...sync...get your contacts all that. I am sure there is a problematic app that is loaded or something left over on the SDCard causing a problem.

ohkey leme try this.
i have installed another memory card now and just put my sim in it, or shud i remove my sim as well for 10-12 hours?
and one more thing, sometimes my fone start heating and it restarts>. i wana know is it hardware fault or software?
after reading from many websites and got to know that i m not the only one with this idiotic problem.

Step 1 Format SDCard, then put the SDCard back in the phone
Step 2 reinstall Android on the phone
Step 3 Use phone for 10-12 hours (do not install anything else on the phone at all)
Step 4 Install whatever apps you want....but only install 2 a day...basically you want to try and figure out what app is causing the problem. What usually crashes the phone are poorly made apps or something in the software or the way someone has setup the phone (some people have like 6 widgets and 4-5 homescreens all completely filled with app icons and a live wallpaper and they wonder why their phone is slow)
 
actually the thing is my fone is not slow, it just restart frequently.
from last day i havent install any app just did 2 calls of 1-2 mins no texting nothing, even i didnt used it. and it restarted once from yesturday.

If you don't want to reinstall and you think it is working better, just install an app like Task Manager and take a look at what apps are running in the background.

Having old out of date apps that haven't been updated in over a year can be a problem. They can have bad code and cause overflows.

Even if you haven't installed any apps, run a Task Manger and take a look at what is running.

If you phone is restarting once a day or more, I would highly suggest reflashing if you aren't able to find out what the problem is.

And if you are running 2.2, it isn't an official release, so it can be buggy. As for what might cause those bugs....it is impossible for me to know.

What apps force close?
 
well 2.2 was not working for me .. it was just restart every minute , then i shifted to 2.1 official again. right now i m just using it for calls and its working fine. i have sync my contacts yet. i wonder if it restarts again.
flashing fone means reinstalling the firmware or i have to take it to repair center for flashing , like other fones.

I would flash it by downloading the x10 flash and use the generic 2.1.58 verison of Android.

There was another user that recently just went through this.

.if you want to go stock I suggest getting that x10 flasher program and download a generic version of 2.1 and try it out. You will have to reset those APN settings.

Basically, get the x10 flash tool....download the right 2.1 zip...run the flash tool on your computer and go through the steps provided.

So, you have completely deleted everything on the SDCard, and you reflashed to 2.1 and you let the phone settle down for a few hours (it take a while for the RAM to smooth itself out...and if you didn't wipe the memory, it takes a little while) and you didn't resync your contacts and didn't install a bunch of apps from the Market and your phone is restarting?

I could see it restart once, but not more than once if you have done all that I have listed above.

If that is the case, then I'm not sure what to suggest. Can you have the phone exchanged for a new one?
 
nah its not in warranty anymore:O
i did what u told me , after that it restarts once. i m not using it, just use it for calls and memory card is also formatted. now lets c how it works tomorrow or else ill send it to repair center.
 
the problem is still there. after so many days i downloaded task killer and angry birds. and after playing for 5 mins it restarts.. and then it restarts for 3 times again. what should i do: (
 
Based on the fact you have performed a software update and formatted the memory card, the only real option left if to have the handset returned for repair. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
 
Thanks for the help, i just wanted to know that i am using a copy chinese charger. My original charger lost somewhere. may be this is the problem?
