Task killers....necessity or waste of time?

If you are at version 2.2 or above then they can actually be harmful and a battery drain. Do not install them.
 
Just noticed that you have the Optimus M like me. Do not install a task killer. If you ever need to kill an individual app, you can do it from the Applications in Settings. Also, if you use Go Launcher then you can kill individual ones from there.
