Slacker or Pandora- which works better for you?

Must say that I like the music mixes that Slacker presents alot better than Pandora, but, I am constantly getting drop outs with Slacker Radio, that I do NOT get with Pandora.
I am in Chicagoland, a very strong Sprint signal area, and, I just cant figure out what the problem is..

Anyone else notice that Slacker drops out alot, and Pandora does NOT?

I like everything about Pandora aside from the fact that despite marking a thumbs-down on every one of their songs, it still does not get that I am sicker than sick of Rascal Flatts, even on my country stations.

And I only drop Pandora service in underground train stations.

Does anyone have both Slacker and Pandora installed? I do right now but I never seem to use Pandora. Thinking of deleting It.

Does Pandora have any advantages over Slacker?

I used to dig last.fm but alas... How is Slacker with skipping songs? The "no skipping after x number of skips" drove me nuts when using pandora. And the ads I found a bit obnoxious at times, though I can live with a certain # of ads. Just not crazy obnoxious radio ads.

How is Slacker for skipping and ads? I never tried it but was meaning to grab an alternative after last.fm fell down the rabbit hole.

Pandora.

I'm giving Slacker a try, since it came preinstalled on my phone
I reallyyyyy dislike it, because the only way you can buy music through the app is through the VCAST Music store. HUGE deal-breaker for me.

Slacker has a REALLY nice way of creating stations: you enter in one artist, and it gives you a huge list of related artists (that have all been very applicable) to chose from, aswell. But Pandora has a better way of "liking" songs. I prefer "Thumbs Up" and "Thumbs Down" to "Favorite" and "Dislike". They may just be terms, but Pandora definitely wins in this aspect.

I believe Pandora and Slacker both allow you to skip up to 6 times.
However, I am pretty sure Pandora refreshes that limit every HOUR, while Slacker forces you to wait 24 HOURS (could be wrong).

I also found Slacker's ads to be MUCH more obnoxious (they are random ABC news broadcasts, from my limited experience with Slacker).

I pay for Pandora now, so I don't know\remember what their ads were like.
Pandora is $37/yr, for unlimited skipping and NO ads.
Slacker is either $3.99/mo ($47.88/yr) or $9.99/mo ($119.88/yr).

IMO, Pandora is MUCH higher quality and a little more evolved\advanced than Slacker. Pandora has a MUCH nicer UI.

Seriously, give Jango a shot. There are no ads and unlimited skips. I'm guessing they make their money by throwing in a rising artist's song every so often (you can skip right past it).

I use Jango also....like it a lot better than Pandora or Slacker and works better on my phone for some reason!

I downloaded Jango and so far I like it! I'm going to test it out for a bit, but it's looking like I might just uninstall pandora and slacker....

I just wish they had a little better audio quality, but it still sounds pretty darn good.

jango for me too. well its my only option, living outside the US.. but i cant imagine it getting any better..

Interesting, never heard of Jango before. We're going to have to try that out one day.

Though I've always preferred Pandora over Slacker though. Though that's probably just because of loyalty or simplicity.
