Father's Day Deal @BB - Optimus V for $149

I wonder if that's the father day's price or the new price. Radioshack now has it for $149 too. Plus it doesn't say sale. Oh well, only time will tell.

I wonder if they are dropping the price back down to where it started out because of the new Motorola coming out in a few weeks.

That's what I am thinking. It's weird that both Radioshack and Best Buy dropped the price at around the same time. Now I am thinking of going with the Optimus V because of the price. I don't need HDMI out or a front-facing camera so I think it'd be a good choice. I am just concerned over the battery life though.

Not sure why this is being called a "Father's Day Special".....

Considering that Best Buy, Radio Shack, and Virgin Mobile have lowered their price back to $149......and the fact that the phone wasn't really "advertised in any ad" for $149, this is more than likely a perm. price change back to WHERE IT WAS in the beginning.

Supply and demand had ALOT to do with this phone going up to $199.
Target and Wal-Mart still have them for $199, but they probably haven't received the price change yet in their systems.

In the light of the new phone Android phone coming out soon, the Triumph, the new has sorta worn off the Optimus V. I'm sure the Triumph will have a nice, new, shiny pricetag as well...

I have the AT&T version of the Optimus, the THRIVE, and I got it for $129 on sale at BestBuy.

Virgin Mobile - LG Optimus V No-Contract Mobile Phone - Black - Optimus V

Best Buy has dropped the price on the LG Optimus V to $149 again for Father's Day!

Enjoy..

If the new price of the V is 149.99 then the Intercept should be lowered to 129.99 IMO since the reviews and sales are poor. The Rumor Touch at 99.99, Intercept 129.99, Optimus V 149.99 and the new Motorola Triumph 249.99 ( Just my guess ) Anyway, what do ya'll think the Triumph will start at? Thanks

Bought my Optimus a a week ago for $199 + tax at TheShack... went back today and got $50 dollars back thanks to the info in this thread!

They probably lowered it to set a equal difference from what the Triumph will cost. Fine with me. :) I'd be happy if HSN lowered theirs to $149.99. Now I am thinking of just going with the Optimus. Battery is the only thing really keeping me away.

I have the same exact guess! $249.99. If I can use Foursquare at Radioshack and get the Optimus V for around $130 I'll be happy.

Just an observation-the Walmarts in Broken Arrow, OK, no longer have the Optimus V. They only have the Rumor Touch and the Samsung Restore. I got to peak at a planagram when I first noticed the Optimus missing and I did not see any place allowed for it; so for here, at least, you have to go elsewhere to get one.

Its NOT on the shelves here any longer either. NEITHER is T-Mobile.

AT&T and VERIZON are it (as least in this town)

Surprising the other companies are still charging for this phone when sprint online offers the Optimus S for free.

Free phone and two contract or $150 dollar phone no contract 25 bucks a month unlimited data texting and 300 minutes on sprints network. Hmm so hard to decide /sarcasm

Sprint's cheapest plan is $69.99 a month with $10.00 for premium web which is required for the phone. This includes 450 minutes and adds 300 a month (says for a limited time, unsure if it is the length of the contract or not). Phone is free, total bill for 2 years is $1919.76 before taxes.

Virgin's lowest plan is $25 a month with 300 minutes, or $40 a month for 1200 minutes. Including phone for a two year period for 300 minutes is $749.99 or for 1200 minutes $1109.99.

I'll pay for the phone up front.

I know that I originally saw the tip here....but for anyone who missed the boat, you can get the 20% Foursquare discount at Radio Shack and the phone becomes $119.99. I bought the phone, activated it and installed Foursquare, went back to Radio Shack with the phone and checked in, bought another one at the 20% discount, switched my plan over to the new phone........and then returned the first one. Maybe that seems like a lot of work, but it was worth it to save $30. The employee that I showed my phone to knew exactly what the Foursquare discount was. The only annoyance was that the Radio Shack where I bought phone #2 required me to buy airtime with it (I went to separate Radio Shacks just because it was convenient). But the requirement was only $15.......and I'm going to use it for next month's bill anyway, so no harm there.

And yeah.........I also imagine everyone saw that Best Buy is taking preorders for the Triumph -- $299.99. As much as I want a front-facing camera..........it ain't worth another $180. I'll just go mobile hotspot and use my iPod touch for a front-facing camera.......

How much gas did you waste running from Radio shack to Radio shack to accomplish this?

I got mine at hsn.com for 200.00. I used flex pay for $50 a month.
It includes: 1 month free month of service($25.00 plan)
Car Charger & Black Silicone Case

I plan to wait and see how much that phone is next year during income tax return time (lots of decent reviews will be out by that time as well). If VM isn't offering a better phone at that time, I will more than likely upgrade then.

As of right now though, I am happier than can be with my OpV.

This is a HUGE YMMV, but Best Buy just hooked me up quite nicely. I bought my OV from Best Buy at the $150 price point because I didn't think to try Parachute's way, but I was in Best Buy getting a present and thought, "Why not?" I went over to cell phone area and asked them if they'd be willing to price match the Radio Shack coupon. The lady behind the desk did some digging and verified the price at Radio Shack and that it's the new price as opposed to on sale already and she actually pricematched the coupon and I got $32 back. I didn't expect that to happen at all. The RS coupon expires today and I know it's a longshot for this to work for anyone else, but it might be worth trying if you bought your OV at Best Buy.

just reporting in that walmart has also dropped to $150 on the optimus

so much for me trying to get $150 out of my optimus after i upgrade to the triumph

Wal-Mart is also pulling Sprint and Virgin Mobile in some markets.

Overnight, Sprint and Virgin Mobile disappeared. the clerk said they "weren't on the new mod", and they were keeping Verizon and AT&T only.

P.S. This is NOT a strong Sprint coverage area.....Makes sense why the drop.
