using sonyericsson pc companion

Hi to all out there. Has anyone any experience using sonyericsson pc companion to sync your contacts to their web page. I have tried for days, some days you it takes forever to load. I have gone to the dash board and clicked on sync to set up and a wizard is meant to start but nothing happens. Is there a better alternative to sonyericsson to back up Xperia X10i on a secure site and sync your contacts, calendar, etc. Thanks from Bob for any suggestions.

Google. It works much faster than using a Sony account.

Or don't sync absolutely everything everytime you want to syncronize data.

Or download an app that does sync for you on a schedule, rather than doing it manually.
