I guess if I really thought about it, they can just watch the video in the Odin thread and see how to install the drivers and how to use Odin then come bk and just install the ROM... I was just thinking of putting them all in one place to lessen the confusion, but you guys are right its not really needed, I apologize for thinking to much into it.
 
I CANNOT GET ANYCUT TO MAKE THE LTE FUNCTION SHORCUT IN THIS ROM!!!! wtf??? anyone having this problem???


Edit: Never mind its not NOT the rom, its just the Open home 6 app... when i made the shorcut in it, i had to go back to the default launcher to see it in on the home screen! so it looks like I cant use the shortcut with open home 6.... that sux!!!! Ideas

I believe there is a bug in the new browser in the 0.5 version, when saving a pic from a webiste it causes the browser to do a force close.

I haven't tried to dwnload a pic using the browser since ive started using 0.5 before reading ur post, so I just tried and ur right it just forced closed on me.

Yeah, I've had that exact issue before. I fixed it before, trying to recall how I did it. We'll have it fixed before 0.6 gets launched.

T3xan gonna hate me for the last two, because he changed em from chrome to black chrome lol. But yeah just teasers of what's to come, it'll probably look a lot more polished.
 
I kinda like the go launcher theme I have now. Unless you bring some of those sexy droid1 themes that used to be available. Would you be able to do that?
 
Well that theme is not part of the launcher, its in the framework, meaning no matter what launcher you use it'll be there. As for porting themes, very hard to do. I tried to do it with a couple, and the problem is alot of phones don't use the same resolution or have the same size screen as ours.

We use something in frameworks called MDPI aka 320x480 res, not a lot of themes out there for that resolution. So in order for me to port a regular theme, aka HDPI, I would have to resize all the images to be the same size. That's all you ask? Yup, depending on how big of a theme it is, that could be up to 10,000 images i'd have to resize. Oh, and it gets better, most of them are different sizes for different functions.

So I tried a not so elaborate one, and when I resized some of the PNG to our res, lets just say it didn't "look" so great. Not to mention there's these things called 9.pngs.....yeah.. if you don't know what they are, then ignorance is bliss. 9.png = bane of all Themes. Anyone is welcome to try and make another theme for my Rom, which is why I asked for suggestions :D.

Not at all, just I wish I had the ability to do that very thing. The sad thing is we can't even take advantage of an app called Metamorph, which you can theme your phone with. It actually bricked my phone when it finally got it to acess my framework. So that, plus the additional help of T3xan inspired me to try my hand at doing a theme. I'll make sure to release an untouched themed version of my rom for those who really dont like what we've come up with.

To top that off, I'm not doing this theme alone T3xan is helping with mostly all of the graphics. Again by all means this isn't finished, its in the works, what I posted were actually older screen shots of it as a work in progress.

Far from done, that's why it isn't even a full 1.0 yet. ;p
 
I was just informed in IRC that someone wants this to be built for non windows. Yet I never heard them post here ever. I'm loosing my motivation to do this seriously. Gotten six thanks from people on these boards, and no input. People want more, but yet they don't voice there opinion. I lost track of how much time I spent working on this. Not to mention I was one of the first people to even start posting on the Android Forums Indulge section, when it was still called Samsung Forte.

Worked hard with Mike and others to get all the bloatware off this phone. We even found a way to half root the phone. I was also the one who found the LTE development short cut through Any cut, which was before we knew the dialing codes. Then when ACS rolled around I went and opened my Teamviewer up to let K0 into adb in my phone to figure out how to get Root fully. Not even a couple days later we had full root. To try and help the community out, I went and posted about 5 topics all regarding all the knowledge I had from working at Metro PCS, and from development with the Indulge.

I tested countless Kernel's that were all bad, and probably had to use Odin on my phone over 20 times. Not to mention all the times I had to Odin when my theme/rom crashed my phone. Then last night I was the first person to test CWM, with a chance to perm brick my phone. Sure, I work at metro, and sure I could get it swaped out to a FRU. Not really a fan of FRU = Factory Refurb Units, but I was willing to take the risk. I risked it, tested, and we now got a CWM being finalized so there's no bugs. I've sat in the IRC channel for countless evenings through out the time the Indulge has been out, since about March. Helping people root their phone, or answering questions regarding the phone or the service. I never even asked for operator status, or moderator status EVER on either IRC or any other forum. I feel like also the developers don't give a crap about my help either. I may not know everything, but I do my best to try and learn, and use my knowledge to help others. Is it really that much to ask for some respect and some thanks here and there?

Till I get some motivation, all my updates are on hold.
 
I don't know about everyone else, but I for one know that we wouldn't be where we are right now without you, Silvist. Also, you've done the community a big service by putting a ROM out for everyone to use while everything else is on hold. There may have been considerably more defectors had you not done so.

I've been watching you and T3XAN chat in IRC, and I can tell you guys are working hard on this. I hope that even if you don't continue this ROM, you'll put your newly-gained skills into theming. The more active contributors the better - always!

Oh, and, if you wanted ops in IRC, all you had to do was ask. ;) (EDIT: And register your nick.)

regardless if i did anything to offend, i offer my utmost apologies. i know i joke around a lot so i hope something i said wasnt mistaken.

Gonna be honest here, I've been lurking here for a few weeks now (around two weeks before people found out how to force the LTE update) and I decided to finally register JUST to be able to give my thanks here. I haven't actually updated to Exodus yet - I'm kind of afraid to, though seeing pictures of 0.6 has me excited beyond belief to the point where I may just use Exodus, but I DO want to thank you for the time and effort this requires. I can imagine coding all this must be a pain - especially without a properly released source code from Samsung, and I doubt the community would have come as far as they have without your help.

I understand it's frustrating to do so much for a community and get very little in return, so here's a word of advice; if you do something, do it because you enjoy it. Not everyone out there is gonna show their gratitude for the hours you put in for them - sad but true. But if you enjoy developing, don't stop now, especially when you've come this far. I'm rooting (pun acknowledged, not intended) for you Silvist, and all the other developers out there.

Thanks for all the time and effort you've spent, it does not go unnoticed.

Thanks Silvist for all your help. I've always been using to rom on the down low. It's bee great. I hope you continue. Ill definitely donate if you put a donate button
