I have Google +

Anyone else have it?

I would love to "use" it BUT!!!!, I really think it will take a long while to get it to where it can be fun useful, etc.

I can't use it because they don't want anyone under 18 using it until they set up "teen safety features."

I have it, but can't really use it cause I lack friends in my circles lol

I've sent out some invites and they are slowly trickling in.

If Google doesn't make this public soon enough, the buzz might die (no pun intended).

how are you guys creating the link to your profiles? I'm going to post it to my facebook page :)

I don't want to add a bunch of "friends" I don't know onto my circles, but I really want Google+ to succeed.

I'm a Mac guy, so having the Google ecosystem of gmail, google+, calendar, (and the fact that Google+ actually has an app coming for iOS!!!!) etc... all integrated is what makes me want this to succeed and have everyone dump FB. Not to mention the great features and easily accessible security features.

I think I want a google+ account but don't really want to use to social networking sites. Is it worth having?

I would say so. I'm not that big on social networking sites, it usually takes me a long time to join them and I never add a lot of friends(no more than 50 on FB and MySpace). I've been extremely pleased with Google+. At first I was worried about being the only person on there, but the Android community has been great. I added a bunch of people and it's nice to talk about geeky stuff we all enjoy. :)

The family will come later but I'm happy without them at this point lol

Exactly! I feel the same way. Thats why, IMHO, it's weird to see all these people asking for invites, as it becomes the same as facebook, you have a bunch of people in cirlces you don't know and most likely will never meet.

Our common "connector" is andriod forums, but other than that, at this moment, what else?

Personally speaking, only YOU can make that determination for your lifestyle. I suggest trying it out and checking the service consistently for month then evaluate based on your personal pros and cons.

It's user friendly and you're able to control what content you want people to see.

well thats why I made a phandroid circle to keep track of all of the phandroid people...
its better than anything myspace and facebook ever had because you could never sort your friends. Google+ is much easier to manage your friends.
I guess you could make group on twitter which are kinda like circles..

I couldn't disagree more. I have very few people I don't really know on facebook because it's so hard to group people. With the way G+ encourages your grouping, I have no problem adding people from here since I can segregate what I post. And we can talk android w/android circle and not bore our other family/friends!

When I first started, I thought I would be using it with only a select few but a vast majority I have added are from the Android community who I don't know in person. But I am not complaining. I think that's how social networking should be ..open ended. That way we can " meet" new friends. And if I want to share something personal, I can always limit myself to friends or family circle.

Trust me when I tell you guys that this is not just the Android community joining Google+. FB has been pissing off the iOS community for over a year, and tons are flocking to Google+ because of it.
