Help Video and download questions

Yesterday I tried to watch a couple of videos on my Droid X but they wouldn't play; they work fine on my MacBook. I also tried to download a PDF, but it wouldn't work; again it worked fine on the MacBook.

I am considering a Transformer to replace most if not all of my computer work and am wondering if videos that don't play on the phone or downloads that don't work there would work OK on the tablet?

Can anyone help?

You need to convert videos to a different format before they can work on your Droid X, same goes for the Eee Pad which somehow managed to support even less formats then phones. Mp4 is your best bet.

I must not have been clear. These are videos I found on the web (actually one was a review of the Transformer), not ones from my camera. When I tried to watch them, the "loading" wheel just kept spinning.

To play back videos that are not supported by the stock player, you'll need to either convert the videos or download a different player. I have had varying degrees of success with MoboPlayer | AppBrain Android Market

For pdf's you'll need a reader. Try Adobe

1. I use a FREE App...RockPlayerLite which appears to play any Video file type I throw at it on my AsusEeePad.
