Anyone getting the Verizon SGT with a pre-existing tablet data plan?

I have a Xoom currently, and I have a data plan for it. Everything I've seen for the 10.1 from Verizon assumes a new 2 year data plan. Does anyone know how it works if you have an existing plan? I assume I'll just be paying full retail, but no one seems to know how much "full retail" is. Any ideas?

Ah thanks. I figured I'll have *some* tablet for the next 2 years, so I may as well get the discount the first time. :) Need to decide if the 32 GB is worth it though, hm. Haven't used more than 16 GB on my Xoom after the 6 or whatever months I've had it...

I definitely want my 3G/4G, I use it on my Xoom enough for it to be very worth it. But I. hate. waiting. :D I hate hearing you all talk about yours and I cant get mine yet. :( there were rumors it'd be today, but no such luck.

Keeping my WIFI tab 10.1. I made the mistake of getting locked into a data plan with the original samsung tab and I had to pay for it with the ETF which was still cheaper than staying on for the remainder of the plan. When your locked into a data plan, you have no flexibility. Down the road an upgrade to the tab 10.1 may release but those on a data plan will be stuck unless you fork out the ETF.

I have unlimited hotspot data on my Evo 4G so there's my data plan for my Tab 10.1.

But I only pay the ETF if I ever cancel, which I don't ever plan on doing. So I'm not sure of your point.

I like having 3g without worrying about my phone battery (I often use it with no access to the charger and the tab batttery lasts way longer than my phone w/ hotspot on, by hours).

As I see it, I got a deal still. This way I got$ 200 off my xoom, and pay retail for my gt. If I did month to month I would've paid full retail for the xoom AND the tab. So I come out ahead.

In any case, I already have a data plan and have zero ingerest in canceling it, I just couldn't find the full retail price, but only$ 100 more isn't bad at all.

i rather go with a carrier who do monthly charges and no contract. sprint does that with their hotspot option on phone.

Edit: unlimited data is a must, i believe, or really high limit. if i have to worry about hitting my data ceiling or have to worry about it, then it's not worth it.

Meh, got wifi tether to work with my Droid so no need when I'm off of wifi at home. I can't imagine paying Verizon anymore than I already do!
