Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 TouchWiz Update Coming Aug. 5

Thanks for the link. Good to see that the rest of us get TouchWiz in the next few days. My question is... if a person downloads Touchwiz and decides they don't like it, can they "uninstall" it by resetting their Tab to factory defaults? Or are you stuck with it once it's downloaded?

i usually don't like anything other than vanilla interfaces but i'm willing to update if it will get rid of all these bugs i'm finding. plus, i really like that option to bring up utilities while using an app or browser. being able to pull up the calculator or note tab real quick without exiting current app will be so useful.

So there's an OTA update coming Friday, but my question is, is it for all Galaxy Tab 10.1s or just for the Wifi version?

I got a Verizon Galaxy Tab 10.1 last Friday and I'm not clear if anyone but the Wifi users will be getting this OTA.

Also not clear on creating yet another account with Samsung....

So there's a lot of confusion in my corner of the Galaxy Tab world. If anyone can clear things up for me, it would be appreciated.

Thanks

From what I've read, it is for the wifi version only at this time.

Well, my browser just crashed so looks like that wasn't fixed. I am liking swype though. Almost worth it just for that.

using Slide IT keyboard, I had already fixed the lag. I dunno, good to have some fixes and interesting shortcuts... but with no transparency and icons that look like I just skined Windows 7 with Windows 3.1, I'm not feeling to visually pleased with this. Some of the things, like the tilt to zoom seem really useless. Others like the thumb board browser control may turn out more useful once I get used to it.

well to be fair, it's not like they MAKE me use it. I could just disable it and stop complaining about how it doesnt work for me LOL.

Disable it ? You mean after you already applied the new upgrade you can disable it or take it off; reverse to the Stock Version?
Or where you trying to say: Just don't download it at all?
