is there a way to create your own icons for bookmark shortcuts on the homescreen?

my problem is that i dont want the text beneath all my icons, but some of my bookmarkicons are the same or dont have a special icon so i cant destinguish one bookmark from another

Sure. First using the web browser, create a bookmark for the link you want as a shortcut. Then long press the home screen and choose shortcut>bookmark.

You can edit the icon and title with Any Cut

when i click "edit existing shortcuts" (which I assume i should) nothing shows up... can you tell me how i do it?

I use Go Launcher. When you press a Bookmark icon it gives you a "replace" choice, let's you pick anything from your gallery. Easy to create your own, or download icons from a web page and use those. Go also lets you turn off labels on desktop and leave them on in app drawer.
