Droid update coming soon!

Hey guys I received notification of a Droid update that will be coming very soon (as early as this week). It has many bug fixes but also has some new features, including:

  • Nexus one keyboard with Voice dictation
  • Google Goggles preinstalled
  • A business card scanner
  • 2.1 Photo album with pinch to zoom
These are the only new features I know of currently, however I assume since the pinch to zoom is included in the photo album it is probably included in Maps and the browser too since it is in the Nexus one update. I will let you guys know of any new information if I hear any!

New keyboard = zzzzzzz....
Google Goggles - its free in the market, nothing new there
Business card scanner - Google Goggles does this. Pretty well too.
2.1 Photo album - Cool update. I downloaded the .apk a while ago and put this on my phone, but if you don't feel like making the effort on your own, then this is a cool update. The gallery is waaaaaaay better in terms of UI.

Not putting down the original poster, just my thoughts on the rumored updates.

u cant say, how bout you inform us of how you know this. As much as people been waving about this, motorola said that they will put out info before the update will be released similar to the 2.01 update. I have not seen a peep of an update except from posters on forums.

Ha! Where have you been? That is old news.
I'm running a quad-core 4.3MHz, 6MB L1/L2 cache with 16gigs of RAM on my DROID.
640gig SD card too! :eek:
 
Sorry Matt, I'm being a jerk. We want to believe you, but our hearts have been broken just too many times by those claiming to bring us 2.1.... lol so we just attack those who care about us... I'm sorry... make up?
 
First, you guys must all be from Missouri.
Second, some of you must work for the FBI or local police, to do a linked in search is one word "Brilliant".
Lastly, maybe Matt has heard something. I know it is easier to be skeptical than trusting, but Matt, I'll be laughing it up with you if you are correct.

That was sooooo January, dude.
Dark-energy is where its at.
My Droid's hardware is what's stated above, my battery never dies (in fact, it has its own built-in factory to make more batteries everytime it reaches 30trillion giga-watts), PLUS...I'm running Android Infinity Edition. It never get out-of-date. Every idea I think of, it uses ESP and creates a new ROM all by itself.
Only flaw? Damm muffler bearings keep rusting out!
