OK Yankee I stopped lurking and need your guidance.

Similar to biker128pedal, I verified with Verizon that my wife's line and old flip phone are eligible for for the Verizon $100 credit and that I do not have to buy at a Verizon corp store. I have an OG Droid that is eligible for an upgrade but obviously not the "upgrade to a smartphone" $100 promotion so my plan is to upgrade her line to the Bionic tomorrow, wait for the credit to be applied/verified, then switch lines with her so she has the OG Droid (which is still going strong BTW) and I have the Bionic.

BIG QUESTION - after the switch, will my line with the Bionic have the grandfathered unlimited data plan I qualified for back in July or would that now be on my wife's line with the OG Droid (or lost altogether)? I would love to get the Bionic plus all the accessories for $199 after the credit but I am pretty sure I would pass if I was going to lose my unlimited data.

CAN ANYONE or Yankee PLEASSSE CONFIRM THIS??

cause i signed up for executive membership 2 weeks ago when i heard the bionic promotion, but no one told me that i could come in 1 hour early!!

and i would also like to know if the Kiosk will be open.

You should call your local costco and ask them. I've seen some costcos let executive members in an hour early everyday of the week, while others only do it a few days a week.

I've also seen the phone kiosk open early for executive members, while others don't open till the regular scheduled time for regular menbers.

So you should call the costco you want to go to and ask them what their schedule/policy is.

I haven't seen different hours for regular and executive members in YEARS.... And I just called to confirm that they don't have early hours for executive members here :( call your local store though, I can only speak for my local stores that I called today...

So many of the people that shop at my costco are exec anyway that the hours no longer matter.

OK, just called Waterbury... guy said they will have them available tomorrow. But they only got "a few." He did tell me it was a "great deal," priced at $280 with all the add-on accessories as previously discussed. Won't hold one for me. Boo! ;-)

Costco in Phoenix, AZ used to let people in early with Exec, but now they don't so everybody gets in at 10AM. It used to be 11AM for the regular folks. There is a Costco Business Warehouse that opens at 7AM, but they don't have a Wireless Kiosk so that's useless.
 
Ever the optimist, I am hoping 6 means 6 pallets. :)

6 per store would only come to something less than 3000 phones nationwide. Seems a little low for a phone that is supposed to get a "major" advertising blitz.

Ohhhh... I misunderstood. I thought you were asking if you had to be an actual member. I didn't see anything about restrictions, but that doesn't mean there aren't any. I'd suggest calling your local warehouse's Wireless Advocates kiosk and asking! Good luck!
 
Just for the curious, I just called my local kiosk (Waterbury, CT) --

The rep said they're "supposed to" have the Bionic tomorrow, but that's all she knows -- she said she has no idea regarding quantity or pricing (though we've already confirmed the pricing here, so no big deal).

She told me my best bet would be to call them in the morning around 9:45 to confirm availability. Store opens at 10. Considering I'm a half hour drive away without rush hour traffic, I think I'm just going to chance it and drive out there. At worst, I'll get in some grocery shopping and some time off work?

I truly hope they have it in and available for me, because I spend more time wanting to throw my OG Droid out a window at this point and want the new shiny in my hands first thing tomorrow! If it's not at Costco, it's going to take a lot to keep me from running to a Verizon store and just buying it without the accessory package, even though I really want the accessories.
 
I went into Costco (located in the SF Bay Area) yesterday asking about the bundle deal. The sales rep said I was the second person to ask him that day. He also said that he wasn't 100% positive that the standard docking station, car dock, extra battery & battery charger would be included in the price of the Bionic; however, he did say that he wouldn't be surprised if Costco did that. I gave him my number in case he had anymore info and was on my way.

This morning he called me to inform me that I was correct about the leaked accessories bundle for the Bionic. I'm purchasing a phone for myself and another for wifey. He said that each phone purchase gets its own accessories bundle, too.

has anyone else experienced a constant busy signal when you call your local verizon costco kiosk. been busy for several hours.
 
I just talked to Costco kiosk rep and they said they are getting 6. Selling for $280 with all the extras.
But I wont be able to get one as I only have an early upgrade available, and Costco can only process 2 year upgrades not early upgrades.
I did call Verizon to try to get them to switch me to 2 year upgrade and they said no, but I could order the phone thru them now (wednesday) and get it tomorrow.
 
Hey Should I bring the Ad in when I show up tomorrow at CostCo? I called them today and he said they only know about the old bundles. Is this something that is available to everyone or only the people who bring in the Ads?
 
Confirmed in Gilroy, CA, the store opens 1 hour early for executives and the kiosk will 100% be open at that time. Lucky shopping guys!
 
Just called my Costco and they said they will have them tomorrow, but most likely sell out in the morning. Unfortunately, I can't get off work. I don't know what to do.

I got in today at work at 4am and my boss said we got the bionic in and we have the pallet display. i was like holy crap. We will sell it tomorrow but we only have 6 in stock. The costco deal is navi dock. bedside dock, extra battery, car charger, and 16gb sd card.

Price: $179.99 w/299.99 tax (meaning it will tax 299.99 but add that tax to 179.99.) thats what i heard but not sure

Yes. My costco in Edison, NJ--busy since 10 am. They don't even have the wireless department on the main menu, I had to talk to an administrator to get the number. Thinking about talking to them again to see what the deal is.

Thanks, strange that's one of the stores I called yesterday and they knew nothing about the bionic.
Guess they got educated overnight :)

i talked to a costco rep and he took down my cell. said he would call when he gets info from the kiosk himself. he said they are having phone problems at this kiosk
 
Can the Costco kiosk do an "alternate" upgrade like verizon online/ in store? Where you use another line you have that is eligible to upgrade?
