Got the phone this afternoon.

Already having problems charging. Sometimes it recognizes the charger is plugged in and sometimes won't. I've tried both the usb to the computer and to the outlet.

Other issue, this thing gets hot. I mean way hot. Too hot. Not normal hot. When it's charging the thing gets hot both front and back and is unusable. If I use it for an extended amount of time texting the thing gets hot. I've been seeing lots of other posts about the hotness as well. You think this would have been caught or addressed before release. I actually had the temperature warning come up on the phone telling me I was in danger.

I'm also disappointed to see the voice talk sometimes takes forever to process.

Lastly, sometimes it doesn't recognize taps or actions right away and you have to hit it two or three times before it responds. I've noticed a bit of lag here and there, which became a huge hassle with the Moment as the phone got older.

I was very nervous about getting another Samsung after my Moment but people kept saying this was going to be a great phone. Not so sure.

I only have 14 days to return it and have no idea now what I would want instead.

Regarding voice talk that requires a data connection to transmit and convert your voice command. Try it on a wifi connection and see if it gets faster. If so than I would but you were in a weak 3g signal causing this delay.

The other problems are not normal. I would exchange the phone.

Agreed. I'd take the phone back ASAP and get them to exchange it.

Do you have a case on this phone? If so, link us to it. I have a case from TPU-cases.com which in theory is very good insulator which would mean my phone would get hot during charging. I don't experience of of the heat issues you describe whatsoever. You may have a phone with a bad battery. As others have said, take it back and exchange it.

No case. I'm going to take it back tomorrow. I have to use my old phone while they order in a new one. Hoping the new one doesn't have the same issues as I have to show it off to my brother to make him envious.

Took my phone back. Heat issue seems to be okay.

Still not sure I like this phone though. Seems like I have to double or triple press buttons before they work most times.

I have never once had any problem with "buttons" (I assume you mean icons for apps / widgets) not working the instant I touch them.

I just bought this phone for my son, and he has the same issue with registering touches, onscreen as well as the 4 bottom buttons. His battery life is terrible, maybe 4 or 5 hours at most with almost no apps installed(Android Os always shows over 60% of the usage). His 3g reception is far worse than my Evo3D, and even his wifi reception is terrible, while everyone else in the house has full wifi signal on our phones, xboxes, and pc's.

It is a cool phone, I just hope it gets better with an update. I will probably go exchange it this weekend in hopes that the replacement works better, since not everyone has these problems

I have no issues touching the 4 bottom buttons or icons/widgets on the screen and my battery last me 15+ hrs everyday, with apps installed. Sounds like you have a bad device.

Hi

I too have come from Evo

I understand the Voice Command problem---I find the phone doesnt always wake to Bluetooth button and Voice command sometimes stalls. I wish I could make Google Voice search the default BT voice control. As far as the little hepatic bottom buttons..I changed the "touch key light duration to 6 seconds--that helped.

I also find GPS not locking as quickly as evo.

Big lock screen is annoying but use battery indicator to disable it

Other than that---big, fast and beautiful...Im sure we'll work it out

Are you having touch issues only when you are plugged in? The stock charger that came with our phones apparently charges at such a high rate that mine and others screens become unresponsive to the touch. Before I found this out through this forum, I had ripped off my screen protector, thinking I had installed it wrong. I now use a weaker charger and the screen is very responsive.
