Help Volume button to snap pix

Some roms you can have buttons programed for something else. Beside installing one (if there is one) then your out of luck.
 
Are you saying some roms let you reassign hardkeys for any app such as Samsung camera?

Also, "beside installing one" what? Third party app or rom?

Edit: I may just use apk editor but was hoping for a more elegant solution, such as copying the camera.apk off htcs that do such
 
Yes...some roms will let u assign certain buttons to perform certain things. So if there is such a rom then u have to be rooted to install it.

Well youre still being unclear.. it sounds like from the homescreen you can program buttons to do certain things, but how would that apply to specific apps? An example would be best.

Forget it JayC I realize now youre just speculating and unsure of what youre typing as stated by you, as youve essentially posted the same thing three times, without relating it to samsungs camera app, nor answering my specific questions, so moving on..

Rather uncalled for. All it would take on your part is a little research. It's really not necessary to reply in such a manner.

Perhaps xda-devs would be able to help you?
