leaked specs....

I wonder if THIS device has a microsd slot? Seems like no space for one. Looks like my D3 will be my main device for an almost normal (for me) primary device life.

Any teansie-weansie chance it'll launch with ICS? Read a rumor suggesting such.

I say 0% chance it has ICS on it. Google devices will be the first to get it. From then it will take 6 to 8 months probably for vendors to integrate their UI on it.

It doesn't look groundbreaking except for how thin it is in comparison to the bionic. How good the display is will be a very important factor along with how optimized it is. It's at the top of my list between the prime/vigor/Razr mostly because prime may have no sd slot. Honestly with the newest OTA on my DX2 it is running very well and I'm not in a 4g area so i don't know if I have a real reason to upgrade at this time.

but why lock yourself in to a 20 month contract with a 3G phone when 4G will be in your area soon i'm sure. Probably way before your 20 month's is up.

I believe he is saying he might keep his X2 since it is running well. I don't think he is buying one (with a new contract) now.

that report as well as others i have seen says Yes on the SD. You can rejoice now. :)

I do not mind no ICS, since it appears the nav buttons are fixed like HC is.

This is cool: "There’s also a pair of side loading SIM and microSD slots on the left side of the device".

That should mean no annoying cover or battery removals to get to the card. Update: Never mind. Seems no way a sim card would be out in the open. Both probably behind the cover, but after zooming the image, I do not see a slot for micro sd or a sim card. I wonder if the specs are correct?

Nope. Not seeing the sim or micro sd slots and there is no way I side slot is there, since the bezel would need to be a LOT wider, due to the battery taking up most of the space already.

I have been wrong before (duh), but seems the specs do not jive to me.

Please zoom this puppy and tell me where there is room for a sim or micro sd. Aint' seein' it, since the battery is nested in there and the display module and chipset would take up the other space that is left. Please keep in mind this device is fairly thin. Where are the slots?

I've had a VZ upgrade sitting since february. Bought my DX2 very sightly used at the end of june. It replaced my DX1 which was also a good phone. There will be no 4G here for 12 to 18 months yet. I'll proably have gone through 2 or 3 different phones by then. At this point it seems 6 months on a phone is about as long as I can go without upgrading to the latest/greatest. Anyway, the newest OTA to 2.3.4 on the DX2 has it running really well. Not sure any of the phones being released this fall are enough of a jump up from my DX2 for me to bite. Won't really know until they are actually in stores and i can read user input and most importantly use them myself in-store.

It looks like a possible micro sd slot on the bottom right side where the battery sits (2nd pic you posted). EDIT - not sure there is room for it in that location. it could be under the battery i suppose.

I thought that too, but the shots comparing it to the Bionic shows no apparent room for that (I am familiar with the Bionic design for sense of scale comparison). The battery is nested in the body and then the display module in chipset would be the rest of the space. Something APPEARS to not be adding up with the specs and the pics. Not seeing anywhere for either slot to fit. Especially if the SIM is standard size.

There will "always" be another Bionic or Razr, so dwelling will drive you whack! The Bionic is a good device.

I was wrong about no room for a micro sd AND no need to open the cover!
