A quick note on system performance and battery performance after Galaxy install. I installed both Open Home and Sweeter Home. On day one I toggled between Open Home and Sweeter Home. While system performance was excellent I was very disappointed with battery performance. I had about 10 minutes of phone calls and while I was getting email via ActiveSync I had no material use of the phone, yet after 6 hours I was down to 15% battery life. Day 2 and 3 we're a bit of a blur so I can't really comment in detail although I will say I re-call consistently thinking that the performance was excellent and that the battery seemed ok, but not better than stock. End of Day 3 I rebooted. Day 4 (this morning), I unplugged from power at 8 am, I have spent nearly 2 hours on the phone and after 6 hours I have 52% battery left. The difference I think is that I have only had one "Home" application in use. I think that what was happening was that any application that was on the desktop of either Home replacement was causing extra network and update traffic. Just a guess at this point - but it seems to make sense. I have to continually fight my "PC" experience and understand that most of the time closing an application neither closes it nor releases any resources. It would be nice if all apps could be actually closed like the Dolphin browser by long holding the back key when the application is running.

My time is limited as well. I'll look you up in IRC next time I'm free.
