My contract isn't up yet but i'm getting a smartphone, so i'll have to buy it on Ebay. Whats the best one/fastest? and good battery life?!

You forgot the Evo 3D. I have owned all of them but the Shift. The ET4G is my current device and it's the best by far IMO. I have a 2 month old Evo 3D for sale cheap though if you go that route.

Of the list, the Epic 4G is the best there.

But if you're looking for the best phone on the market overall, it's the Galaxy SII Epic Touch.

I like my Evo 3D. I haven't played with the E4GT too much, but I didn't like the screen all that much. I'll wait for the next gen of SAMOLED that's supposed to be a pretty good leap over the current gen and give it another shot.

The human eye really isn't going to notice any more changes from the GSII and up. In all honesty, technology is really starting to peak when it comes to display resolution and quality.

I didn't add recent phones because I have to buy a phone on ebay, the photon is 400 :(
Are all 4g phones the same when it comes to how fast they are on the internet?

It depends on Sprint really, not the phone.

You know how all computers receive a connection all the same through their wifi cards? Well, phones work the same way. If you're in an area with poor coverage or Sprint's older towers... then your speeds are going to be slow. Just like with a Wifi connection.

If I remember correctly, phones work the same way in which they can all receive 4g data at the same rate since they all have the same signal card in them.

Hands down the best phone on Sprint, is the GSII E4GT

If however you are buying used or heavily discounted, get a Nexus S 4G

you forgot the Motorola Photon 4G. I'ved owned the Nexus S 4G but the Photon IMO is the one of the best phones.

My vote is also for the Photon. I took a while to research both the Photon and the Galaxy SII. I went with the Photon because of

1. hardware quality - a Sprint repair friend tells me that many GS2's have been returned when they have been slightly bumped/dropped...way more delicate than Photon.

2. Samsung GPS issues - spouse's current Epic has them and I've seen the same complaints from some GS2 users.
3. phone voice quality - really prefer the Photon over the GS2.

That being said, the GS2 screen is amazing and the phone is skinny - it feels like it is ALL SCREEN. I really fretted over this choice but am glad I went with the Photon...plus Best Buy made it easy with as the price with upgrade was only $99.

This is my third Android and I can't say enough great things about it. It's like my original EVO only lighter, thinner, faster, amazing battery life...oh, it just rocks!
