How to backup games without root?

I am not in need of an entire system/data backup... just a few certain games.

- cut the rope
- plants vs zombies
- angry birds

The 3rd one is easy because there is a free app that will do it. But how about the first two? Is there any way without root? I may root soon... but it will wipe my device, so it's a Catch-22.

I found an answer, but it's not the one you want to hear. :-(

Some games (like angry birds) put the save file somewhere anyone can access. Some other games (like cut the rope and pvz) put the save file somewhere you can only access (even read-only) if you have root. So in my case, referencing the Catch-22 in my OP, I was indeed screwed. I rooted, wiped the device, and started the games over. :-(
