Help! Replace s896 1500mah battery with a 1800mah?

Does anybody know if I can replace my 1500mah 3.7v s896 galaxy battery with the s2 1800mah 3.7v? I'm a 'heavy' user and would like a little more life out of my phone. As long as they have the same dimensions and contact points it should be fine as the voltage is the same. Help please!

Galaxy S II has a more rectangular shape of battery while the original SGS is more squarely.

However Galasy SL comes with the identical size battery with 10% extra juice.
