HDMI out won't work on Motorola Triumph?

I got an hdmi cable for my Motorola Triumph but when I connect it, nothing happens. I have tried three different hdmi connections in the back of the TV and nothing happens. Is there anything I'm supposed to do to the phone before I connect?

P.S. Yes, I also change the input on the TV to the appropriate one.

Depends, the phone would need to have "HDMI Mirroring". I'm not sure if that phone has it, but I have only seen one phone ever that has full hdmi mirroring.

You also could just have a bad cable as well.

That is garbage. The phone will output whatever is on your screen. I originally had issues as well. Powered on and off with the HDMI cable plugged in. Phone then recognized the cable and started displaying my screen on the T.V.

I'm still currently having issues with the picture showing but the audio not coming through. Frustrating.
