minor complaint about alarm clock

Ilike the new alarm clock but I don't like my direct access being gone. I have to go through clock, and I'm pretty sure once I have a dock, clock will load automatically, meaning I wont need it on the home screen at all. Anyone else missing having a direct icon to the alarm?

Yeah, that is kind of annoying. Usually when I set an alarm, I don't need to see it anymore. Different application I guess. There are some alarm clock apps you can download from the market that might better suit you.

My "retro clock" widget would go directly to my alarm clock. Hasnt been updated.

Id recommend getting a homescreen clock that does. Should be a must have for all time based widgets imo.

Speaking of the new alarm clock... why is there still no way to use the phone's ringtones as alarms? I, personally, love Google's new native alarm app, but find the actual alarm tones to be horrible.

It's a shame too because some of the apps I've seen on the marketplace just don't have the amount of spit and polish that the native app does.

Just install Rings Extended from the marketplace. Then you can choose mp3 tracks for anything on the phone that needs a sound notification.

You can use the AnyCut app to create a shortcut directly to the Alarms! Also, I've been using the RingDroid add my mp3s to the Alarm ringtone list

Dumb question: How do you turn the alarm off when it goes off??

I was testing it just now, went off fine... then I was *****d if I could work out how to turn the ringing off... tried every button I could & in the end turned the whole beast off....

RTFM'd the Google manual and was none the wiser... can someone with a bigger brain than mine kindly point me to the obvious answer??

Regards & Thanks in advance
