Do you slipstream?

I really need to get around to doing this.

Thinking I may use a USB. But I guess having both a USB and DVD as bootable would make sense.

I do that .But more so because I am lazy and I want everything out of the box after re-install reducing actual install time .

Yeah, I do that too... but only slightly. Like if I really want a particular set of software or need some specific drivers.

I backup my data to external drives. When I need to re-install the OS, I deal with it. And actually enjoy it (x| x = linux & x > Windows Vista)...

Installing XP sucks... need to pull drivers off of a floppy... :/ and who likes installing vista.? no one. That's who.

Now, installing Fedora was fun. And getting the nice list of new features every six months in ubuntu is a blast. Now, I do tend to sit on my Mint installs though...

I did do a slipstream install once, and it was going to add in software too, but turns out it was an online installer, I needed an offline installer, so I nuked it.

Well OS is not the only stuff I have SS .I had slipstreamed .net 1.1 SP1 in the original installer so that it could be installed on win 7 .
Win7 SP1 is a must since installing that much stuff is a drag .
other "softwares " can be SSed but ninite is more suitable .
It's updates plus drivers for me ,every three-four months .

I'm more of a Cognac and Sottish Isles Whisky man myself...

Once I have media, I would be taking periodic images rather than slip streaming. I've plenty of storage so I can keep a few images on the go at any one time...
