Do you regret buying the Droid Razr?

Under your name, your list of devices include a razr, and a white galaxy nexus? Where do I find this? I haven't seen a white one yet...? Just curious. Anyways, Nobody can tell you if you SHOULD buy a certain phone. You need to play with them yourself and decide which one YOU like better. Reviews can only take you so far. I could read terrible reviews about a phone, but if I decide I like it, I'm still gonna get it.

Nah, I doubt there will be a white Galaxy Nexus, but boy would it look great. With the curved design and giant screen. For some reason on the other thread, nobody liked my idea

As of right this second....Yes! Now I regret not waiting....going back today because of a few issues...

Between the weak vibrate, the bit of lag that I've started to see last night that I've never experienced on a phone running Gingerbread...example being the phone freezing during a you tube video, and the camera just shutting down, and now this (potentially wide spread) issue with blotches under the screen.

I think its safe to say goodbye to Motorola for a while....especially after getting the Bionic and still waiting for any sort of update that fixes the camera issues and the Black screen of death just to name a few.

To be fair, you are a player who looks for any reason to move on--just not ready to settle down and commit. You could be the subject of the next Tyler Perry movie!

Maybe someday you'll find true love...

Sean and Rushmore just like to stir the pot. The Ambiguously Gay Duo :D

Rushmore is all over the boards like a chicken with his head cut off talking up all the other devices and knocking the RAZR when ever he can hahahahahaha. It's getting comical.

"Yeah well thats the problem with the RAZR" " The Rezound is much better in many aspects" "I'd go for either the Nexus or the Rezound because....."

LOL. The guy spends an inordinate amount of time in here for somebody that doesn't even own or want the RAZR.

RAZR hate. Too funny.......

I have had it since Friday and I am having issues. Mine gets so hot it burns my butt when in my back pocket. But that's not my real concern.

My real concern is I've never gotten 1/2 a day yet out of the battery... with 4G turned OFF!!

Now I may have a bad one. Or, judging from other posts.. It seems I'm in line with other owners right now.

To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I shouldn't have to constantly check to see if something is running. I shouldn't have to shut everything down. For a phone of this price, it should last longer than it is, even if I kept 4G on, which I am not.

Nothing is ever running that shouldn't be either. And I turned my display down to 8%.

Took off charger at 7 ish today, at 50 percent right now with one 15 min phone call and email checking. So that's 5 hours, 41 min in, next to no use, 1/2 batt already gone.

I dont 'even dare to try and play a video right now.

That's unusually fast battery drain. Mine has been off charger for over 5 hours (same as yours) and on 3G/4G the whole time with display at auto brightness. I'm only down to something like 85-90%.

If your handset is getting that hot and you are having to shut everything down to get just decent battery performance then there is something going on.

Why don't you list all the apps you have installed so that we may trouble shoot your problem. When I first got my RAZR I was burning up the Android OS with extremely high % numbers. Now I could have complained and said the phone sucks or I could realize something was going on on my end. It was a bad app, problem solved.

This is a PEBKAC and we can help you out. Let us know all the apps your'e running on your handset. Including task killers and virus protection (if any)

Mine was sent back this morning, as the battery was pathetic. Had a quick play with it before I sent it off, just to check I wasn't making a mistake. I had the screen on for 10 mins and lost almost 30% charge.

Well I have had it now for about 3 days and the main issues for me is I am suppose to be in a 4G area but have yet to see 4G on my phone anywhere I have been. Also another problem for whatever reason my razr wont stay connected to my work wifi which i never had problem with other phones. Battery does seem to drain pretty quickly. Other then that phone is pretty sweet.

Feel bad for everyone that's having a problem, but I absolutely love mine. Battery is perfect for me, Signal and call quality blows away my Droid Incredible. I've had the phone off the charger since 6am this morning. Web surfed, few phones calls, messing around with some apps... It's now over 12 hours later and I'm still at 60percent charge.

Wouldn't it be great if we could figure out why there is such disparity amongst users' results with this phone? Either it's something loaded on the phone that is killing the battery, or there is a serious issue with QC, or...people use the phones in vastly different manners. It would be nice to know the root cause of the wide variation in battery life. (and I suppose there will never be a definitive answer, which makes it a crap-shoot for anyone contemplating buying this phone)

Don't regret it at all. Came from a Droid 1

I only miss my physical keyboard from the Droid. I guess I'll get used to it soon enough.. Still wish it had a keyboard. I've been starting to use the voice to text more though.

Battery life is pretty solid. The first 2 days it sucked since I kept playing with it and tweaking random things. Now that I set up smart actions and brought it to work for the first day I'm pretty happy with the battery life. It's not as long as my Droid 1 but I got 12hrs out of it today and ended at 30% with moderate use

I was just in a verizon store and took a close look at the Rezound and by a mile the Razrs screen is much brighter! No regrets here the Rezound is just a newer incredible IMO.

I just got one today and coming from a Thunderbolt and a Bionic I don't regret this purchase at all, the phone is really sweet!

Enjoy it. Its truly a remarkable handset. Got mine Thursday morning and the newness still hasn't worn off. I love the way it looks and feels. Not that I care who notices the phone or not but a lot of people have been asking to check it out. Some know what it is some don't. One thing they all share in common is their reaction to it :)

I can honestly say I have not owned one smartphone that has gotten the reactions that this handset has. Thinness freaks people out lol

Same thing for me.

I work in a cooler, horrible signal in there, and if I don't mess with the phone, 2-3 hours, I'll lose 5% (about). I use Circle Battery Widget for detailed battery life. I did make a 1 hour and 10 minute call and lost 20% right there but isn't that somewhat normal?

People who are having horrible battery problems either 1, don't know what they're doing or 2 have a bad phone.

This battery is better than the TB, fast as hell, so light I seriously forget I have it in my pocket sometimes, camera is LIGHT YEARS ahead of the bionic, it doesn't get hot, and I'm the guy whose had 3 TBs, 3 Bionics and bitched about every single one.

The incredible was my favorite phone ever, I've had the Razr for 3 days and I'd be lying if I didn't say this phone is only about a week away from taking that title.

You heard of the "it" factor? This phone has "it".

The RAZR is an elegant phone with a first class build quality that exceeded my expectations. Call quality, image quality, voice commands, ease of navigation, feel in the hand, remarkable speed and sheer beauty all contribute to a gratifying satisfaction with this purchase. Four days' ownership of my RAZR have convinced me there will be no buyers' remorse for me. The camera looks like the weakest link, but even that produces good results. For some, the more advanced and larger display of the Galaxy Nexus along with its well reviewed camera and NFC chip may hit their personal sweet spot, but for me the RAZR ticked off every box on my checklist, and did so with style. I finally believe I have a phone I'll like for the full two year term of my contract.

P.S. I think the hot screen talk is BS and battery life is in a reasonable balk park. I think the RAZR will satisfy discriminating customers who demand the best.

How is the camera 'light years ahead of the Bionic' when it's the same camera? In fact I went over to Verizon yesterday to play with the Razr and compare it to my Bionic.

I took several pictures with both, same angle, same position. I saw no difference whatsoever, zero. I enlarged each picture looking for differences in noise, color or detail. There was none.

I'm looking for the real differences between these two phones, not the hyperbole.
