Just to add to my initial response in this thread & after having used the phone for a couple of days now..
- The fluid UI experience of Android on this phone is simply amazing. I can't say enough just how responsive, snappy and downright quick this phone is - whether I'm swiping through screens, going through menus, opening apps, there is absolutely zero lag on this phone. I can confidently say that the Razr is just as fast OS wise as the iPhone, which is an incredible statement to make!
- Smart Actions is hands down one of the best features on this phone. I've set up a few profiles and can get about a day out of the phone (typically off charger by 7am) before needing to charge. This is with moderate usage (sending texts, web surfing, downloads, extended periods of screen being on). While the app can be improved, being able to nest profiles is one hell of an advantage!
- The screen is awesome. Yes, it's grainy but only in limited cases (mainly looking at small text; pics/vids look incredible!). I wasn't sure how much of a difference a 4.3" screen would make with regards to real estate, but man, there is NO way I can go back to a smaller screen now. I also find it even more puzzling how iPhone users can get by with a 3.5" screen. That being said, having this device gives me pause to think that the 4.65" screen on the Nexus may be a tad too big. Cannot say enough good things about Gorilla glass.. my OG Droid had it and after a number of drops (including more than a few that were screen-first) it was still flawless and scratch/crack free.
- Motorola's UI is surprisingly good! Personally, I like some of the widgets and apps they've put on this phone. More importantly, this skin is pretty intuitive to use. The black contrast and black on white menu setup is a very nice touch and really adds to the phone's personality.
- The camera on the Razr has worked flawlessly in the few paces that I've put it through. It absolutely shines outdoors and the auto-focus works as advertised (quick and fast) enabling you to take pics rather quickly. The only area where the camera suffers is in low light situations, but let's be real, there isn't a phone on the market that excels in this area, the iPhone included. That being said, for those moments where I'd need to take a pic on my phone (and granted, I'm unlike most folks as I don't take pics very often with my phone, I take more videos), this camera will suffice. It really shines when taking video though and the 1080p capture is awesome. The front-facing camera is really nice too. Made a few video calls using Tango and the quality was superb on both wifi and 4G.
- I honestly don't know how they fit all the tech that they did in this phone because the form factor is simply phenomenal. I LOVE the way the phone feels in the hand and it is deceivingly light! Yet, for it's minimal weight, it doesn't feel like it would fall/slip or otherwise end up in a precarious position. The power button isn't as flimsy as some people have mentioned, in fact it feels pretty sturdy given my usage so far. Same for the side door that houses the SIM and microSD slots.
- The battery is what I expected it to be, but surprisingly better than what I've heard from other folks who have 4G phones. The only draw back is when I'm in an area where 4G coverage isn't as strong (like this morning, in the corner of a high-rise building on a high floor) where the battery just sips away (although losing half my charge from 6:30am today to 12:30pm isn't terrible). Aside from that, I can easily get a day out of the phone without worrying about charging it, but having the charger handy is a necessity.
All in all, I am very, very impressed with this phone. It isn't every day that a phone, especially one as hyped up as the Razr, works as advertised right out of the box. I'll be honest, after hearing all of the horror stories of folks on here who had gotten their phones on 11/11, I was concerned that I had made a mistake. I couldn't have been more wrong! This phone has delivered the goods for my expectations and then some! I was really happy with my OG Droid when I picked it up and I am just blown away by how well put together the Razr is. Kudos to Motorola on a job well done!
