Just updated and all seems well. Not near the big update I was thinking it was. The clock rolls over, the 3G emblem has changed and there is a nice fade going from screen to screen but that's about the extent of it far as I can tell.
 
I might have missed this somewhere: So what happens when you accept the update on a rooted phone? Is it still rooted after the update? Mine is rooted with custom kernel.
 
Well, I just checked the market and I see a sprint store. I also checked the hardware menu and it shows a 4.3'' screen.

I did not receive the previous GB update and was running stock 2.2.

Edit: based on earlier posts here, it looks like vzw may be pushing out the previous update before the fix.
 
I did the update and my phone is screwed! I started a new thread looking for help...anything you guys can suggest would be helpful. The phone booted to the unlock screen...and there is no response. Says "no service"
 
updated today. now my clock/weather doesn't work like it used to. i touch the clock and it takes me to the world clocks page instead of weather like it did on froyo. . and if i manually backspace to the clock/weather screen i used to be able to touch the weather space and get a four day forecast. not anymore. i can access the weather forecast through the weather app icon tho.what a pain.anyone else have this issue. thanks. take me back froyo.

Are you talking about the 4x2 flip clock/weather widget? Pressing the clock takes me to the world clock, but pressing lower on the widget (where the temp/city/moon is) will take me to the weather.
 
i use the smaller oblong clock from the same collection. it used to work like the flip clock. i also have clocks from air clock collection that take me to the clock/weather screen. i used to be able to touch where the weather is displayed and see a four day forecast. now it does not work the same way. had this phone since launch day and have had very few incidents with it's performance. is that the rezound calling me. only six weeks to go for my cheesy new every two $30.00 (was a $100.00 last time) LOYALTY discount. wowee. can hardly wait. the rep told me i could get an early upgrade but could not get that HUGE 30 peso discount until dec. 29. there has to be a little loyalty from verison. after all i've been paying about $95.00 a month since 1993. eighteen years x 12 = 216 months x $95 = $20,950. now i have to wait three weeks to save $30 on a $300 dollar purchase. thanks for being a valued eighteen year customer john doe. the $30 just might pay the tax. rant over.
 
I got the update this morning. All of my aps that were on the SD card are MIA. I'll need to hunt down those instructions on trying to get them back...
 
Got Gingerbread early this morning in the state of CT.

Updated, so far, no problems found just having to log back into secure websites, but so far so good.

I live right outside of DC and got it this morning - lost a lot of my SD card apps, but not all of them, seems weird. Other than that though my phone is amazingly fast! Was a total surprise for me.

I saw someone mention that there's something to look up for this, I guess I have to go through 72 pages of messages to find it!

Loving it. Everything is better imo. Screen is amazing.


Of course the update was waiting on my phone when I got up. Might root and back up..... Maybe...

Just got the update, installing now.

How long should I let the phone sit on the "eye" with the two dots screen? It's been there for five minutes already.


Glad the update came now, because my phone it turning into a off-network MP3 player as soon as the Nexus is released.
 
Just leave it, it'll eventually reboot. Mine did the same thing.

Now we just have to wait for the update to the update :)

And thankfully, I pulled the apps I had on the SD card off back when the update was first pushed, and never put them back, so I think I'm good there.
