Is this phone worth the Jump

I am looking to jump over to verizon and have been going back and forth on phones.

I am coming from At&t and using the crappy which has been nothing but problems so I would rather stay away from samsung I like the Rezound and the Razor but I can not figure out which phone is better

Everybody is talking about the razor. Personally, I prefer HTC sense phones. You could read reviews of both phones - this way you'd have a clearer understanding of what the phone is all about and what it has to offer you. Best of luck.

Yea...tough choices out now and coming soon. For the RAZR and Rezound....I would say start with the screens. Figure out which one you like best and go from there. Thats probably gonna be the biggest thing about each phone other than the UI. And the form factor.

Which means it would be best to try them both out in stores and compare.

I am running both as daily drivers right now and would say that the Razr is the better device out of the box. The Razr is faster and more fluid and the browser speed is double the speed of the Rezound browser. The only thing I can't decide on is which screen I like better but as an over all device the Razr is better.

Go into Verizon and use them both otherwise you are just getting everyone else's opinion. You may like the ReZound more than the RAZR or the RAZR more than the ReZound.

It ALWAYS comes down to what is the better device for YOU.

I've had em both...The Rezound and Razr.

Razr hands down is the better phone IMO

THIS, it really isn't close. A couple of days with both and you will see. Verizon has the extended return program going on, check into it.

First of all... run fast and far from ATT (not that Verizon is "far"). Having had two HTC phones (but not the Rezound) and having just jumped from the TBolt to the Razr, I will say that the Moto radio is significantly better than the HTC radio, IMO. That said, I have a preference for Sense over Blur... but I'm only a week into Blur and I'm not sure I'd give up the vast improvement in radio to get Sense back. Instead, I think I'm filling the gaps with (mostly free) 3rd party apps like Go Dialer and Contacts. I don't know what phone you have on ATT... but I would lean towards Razr over Rezound and know that you have 15 days to switch if you want.

The reason I made the switch to the RAZR (well besides that Samsung makes POS phones) is that Motorola knows how to do one thing VERY well. That thing is making a device that allows you to talk with someone else. Regardless what communication device they produce, it's always going to allow you to talk to someone without a problem. Their radios seem to be much clearer than any other manufacturers, and their build quality is pretty impressive. I once had a Motorola Q that a crazy ex threw THROUGH a wall. Picked it up and it worked perfectly. That same phone, had it on top of my car and drove down the road, of course it fell off at 40mph... Screen was broken, but I'll be d***ed, the buttons all worked still and I could make phone calls still.

The screen is the ONLY thing that I'm not thrilled about, but it's liveable for sure. I've yet to see a pentile display that I'm excited about.

Must agree so far, in spite of the Rezound having a better display and camera- plus easier to use with one hand.

Brief points so far:

Runs cooler

Rezound seems slower in browser when in 4G compared to the Razr, but fine in 3G

Camera is not as good as Rezounds, but is a lot better than previous Moto devices (faster and more focus of pics).

Rezound seems to have some touch response issues. Could be the apps need to catch up to the display, but that is problematic and an assumption that will go past the return window of the device.

Having the usb and hdmi ports separate and on the top is more convenient

The easy access micro sd is great for media buffs

Motocast is a nice integration app for remote user media

Battery life is better than expected on the Razr (3G is VERY good).

Just my perspective, since the Rezound is a good device too. It would be an absolute coin toss for both, if the heat and touch response issues were resolved on the Rezound.

I look forward to testing the Rezound more to see if the heat and touch issues were anomalies to the demo units (but users have reported issues too).

Are you having the browser issues in 4G? I notice that there is no delay or lag while in 3G, but the Rezound pauses and takes longer than the Razr to update and go to web pages when in 4G.

Seems a Rezound 4G issue to me. Razr is speedy with browsing in 3G and 4G.

Yep, same here. Browser on Rezound using 3G or wifi is fine, its smooth but still slower than Razr. Using 4G the Rezound seems to pause or stutter alot. The Razr is smooth as silk using browser whether its 3G, 4G, or wifi.

I've had the Razr since 11/10 and I love it. Jumped from the HTC Incredible 1 and prior to that the iPhone3G. The Razr is quite a step up in design and is feature packed. The kevlar in the back is beautiful as well. Battery life is exceptional even considering I'm in a 4G zone most of the time. I check my emails fairly frequently and surf the net for a good 30-45 minutes in a day, by 6pm, I still have 50% battery. My only quip is the camera. For a phone that costs this much I expected more in quality photos. Hope this helps

I came over from Sprint and the epic 4g touch. I bought the rezound first and had it for like 4 days. The screen is nice but I don't like LCD phones. In my honest opinion the rezounds screen was clearer and the phone felt OK in hand. Besides that I wasn't really impressed. It felt like a regular phone to me. It was a bit laggy at times but I don't understand how when the processor was faster. O well I have had the razr since yesterday and absolutely love it.
Call quality is perfect and I'm not exaggerating. I actually wanna talk on the phone with my Girlfriend again lmaoooo. But seriously IMO the razrs processor is better ..I have had absolutely no lagging problems and the battery is great. Screen is perfect. This is coming from a guy who likes plasma TVs over LCDs. Just my preference. The camera is not as bad as people are saying. People forget that its still a cellphone and not a camera. The motoblur doesnt bother me at all..I think if u get the Razr u will not regret it. Just being honest
