Help Camera quality?

I wonder if shadow(er) depth of field is biting a few reviewers. To be honest I rather have a 45mm f1.4 lens than a 28f2.2 lens but whatever.

The Rezound takes very good piccies. As good or better than the Nokia N900, which is a good thing.

I played w/one at the store today. I didn't spend much time on it as I would've liked, but take a few quick shots. It was quick but seemed liked it had trouble focusing a bit.

I love my camera on my Thunderbolt (even thou seems as if it is considered a subpar camera phone) so if it's slightly better then the TBolt I'll be happy . However I hope it's faster the the tbolt

Here's one I took, there's some weird speck right in the middle though...I don't know what it is....

I had the bionic and my old man has the xperia play. The cameras on both those phones are awful. What I want to know is if you point the camera towards a window will it go dark?

loving the pics i have taken with it so far

HOLY CRAP!! YOU HAVE A SKUNK IN THE WINDOW!!!

On a more serious note, it seems like all the pictures I've seen in low light have a yellowish hue to them. Is there a setting to take care of that? In the demos I've seen, I love how quick the camera takes a picture. Sigh....2 more days and I can play with mine... :(

Oh and lulz at all the Star Wars stuff in the background. I have a big box of vintage Star Wars stuff in the garage that I need to probably dump. It's nothing special, old Darth Vader head case, a gutted out millenium falcon etc...

I've played with the RAZR and the Rezound in the store and the Rezound's camera wins hands down. Images are clearer with more detail than the RAZR. Much better than my current Droid X. Also I couldn't get RAZR to autofocus during movie recording. The Rezound focus on near and far objects as you pan around like a champ!

Images from the HTC Rezound camera (6Mp size):

At about 75% zoom. Good image for a digital zoom.

You can even see the letters on the keyboard are the sticker type.

The RAZR pic was actually brighter here.

Sorry about the nauseating pans

Here's my RAZR review with images:

Straight from camera color could be a little better and fixed with editing program but you can't edit in the sharpness and these pics are pretty sharp and well focused makes every phone camera I have had before seem downright blurry and I had the TBolt and Incredible and the droid.

You can't throw SW stuff away!! Will post up some more Rezound pics of my collection when i get home:)

I think the reason people are getting an orangish/yellowish hue to their photos is because they are leaving the White Balance on auto. On most of those pics, playing around with the WB can make a big difference. On my Inc2, if it looks like that, going to flourescent or incandescent can make a difference (sometimes you may get the best result colorwise going with something it's not, like using flourescent when the room has incandescent lighting). The best I can tell you is just to play with it.:D (sorry, couldn't resist).

This is not just an issue with phone cameras either. I've got a Lumix TZ series p&s, & I will see this from time to time with the WB set on auto. The other thing is that may times the color can be resolved with photo editing software. But like someone else said, normally that software cannot help with sharpness. I'd rather the tradeoff be something I can edit later, rather than something I can't.

Mine should be here in a little while. I try out the camera today and see what I can do with it.

Camera is pretty good! Nothing amazing! Color could be better, and sharpness is decent....I've used the Amaze...and it takes better pictures IMO

Could someone please try this? I'd appreciate it.
Yes, it will. But if you tap a dark area on the screen, forcing it to focus away from the bright window, it will expose the dark area properly.

I wonder why they focus so much on the beats audio when advertising the Rezound. They should focus on the screen and camera The camera is the best camera of any phone I've owned including iPhone 4. In fact I was at a cigar bar with a friend who owns the 4s and we both took a few low light smokey pictures all my pictures came out much brighter and clearer then his. This is a great phone camera. You will not be disappointed

SamXp - wow! Is that Spencer Shops? I was there _years_ ago, father-in-law helped in the conservancy and rebuilding. Wondering if that's the completed project!?

Love the camera, so long as I remember to change the White Balance from Auto to incandescent where needed. Outside shots are great, low light shots have been better than expected. The pano feature is nice as well.
