Root Cwm recovery error on m835

I seem to have a problem trying to back up files...

BACKING UP DATADATA...
E:FAILED TO FIND "CUST" PARTITION
TO MOUNT AT "/DATADATA"
CAN'T MOUNT /DATADATA
/TMP/RECOVERY.LOG WAS COPIED TO /SDCARD/CLOCKWORK/MOD/RECOVERY.LOG. PLEAS OPEN ROM MANAGER TO REPORT THE ISSUE.

it also happens when i try to install roms, i think i need to give up on rom manager and find something else, ive heard cwm is messing up alot.
any one know any solutions? i may need to delete everything from rom manager to the back ups.

Anyone know a better backup program that will back up everything.?
 
You followed the instructions for the ROM you wanted to install? Double back and make sure all steps were followed precisely.

Sounds like this problem's starting to pop up...wonder if there's an update that's needed.
 
mmhmm it does it every time i really try to back up files, i don't even try to install roms anymore, i think im going to just delete everything including the backups and re install it

It still works though.
I'm using the ascend cwm and it works just fine.

I also flash manually and only used rommanager to flash cwm

Hold volume rocker up, call and power buttons.

Assuming you know where your rom. Zip is you then find and select these options, use the button where a track ball belongs to navigate and the power button to go back a screen.

Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe cache
Advanced
Wipe dalvik cache
Mounts and storage
Format data, system, cache and boot
Instal zip from SD
Find your rom

When you get the datadata error just select reboot system and you are done.
 
all I get is the pink screen when I follow the manual flash instructions.

CWM free is giving me issues left and right.

Boot menu has no option to flash from SD.
