Best buy 16G $299 now!

Well nevermind I guess. You add it to your cart and then they say FREE SHIPPING but it's not available to ship and you have to pick IN STORE PICKUP but no one in the country has any.

Sounds like a scam to me. THANKS BEST BUY!
 
I and a lot of other people have been having the same problem with the HTC Flyer.

I made a complaint here http://forums.bestbuy.com/t5/Twelpforce/ and got a response..

I would complain there on the twitter "twelpforce" and call in..

They are doing this with at least two products I am aware of.

In the case of the HTC Flyer.. bestbuy is the ONLY place you can get the flyer.. since I did manage to order one.. it says "In processing" and it has been that way for 2 days now..

so yeah.. best buy is really pulling some bull this year...
 
Thanks - I posted it up just to make my point but really I don't want to order it and then have them hold $300 on my credit card for a month only to cancel it later.

I've never really liked Best Buy but since Circuit City went out they are the only game in town local to me.

They are taking all sorts of crap all over the Internet this year! YIKES!

Actually I'm kind of worried now..

I ordered the HTC flyer on the 6th of this month..

And it has been "In processing" since.

My mom is trying to get all of her xmas shopping done early this year since she is having surgery and she is going to be out for about 2 weeks..... So.. if in 2 weeks they say "WELP WE DON'T HAVE IT! HERE IS YOUR MONEY BACK!" that is just gunna be a bummer..

This is also why I normally newegg.com

because, once you know.. you newegg.
 
They are unavailable at every best buy store that shows up when I do the zipcode search. Flippin scam. Just like that 10" Acer too that they sold for like 230 or 240, did they have 10 in stock across the entire US or do they just post the low price up after they've sold out of them.
 
Because apparently I have nothing else to do I kept putting in random cities and near Reno, NV the store in Chico, CA apparently has 1 or more in stock.

SO if you live near Chico you are in luck! :rolleyes:
 
I saw this promotion and looked it up online, saw the price, checked to see if my local BB had one in stock. The website indicated out of stock in every store in a 100 miles radius, which was weird, since I had just been in the BB the day before and saw they had them in stock. So I went to BB today and guess what? They totally had them in stock, but not for the advertised price. 16GB for $399. WTF? Then I noticed they had a promotion going on in-store where you get $100 off any tablet if you sign a two-year contract for a data plan. I don't remember seeing that mentioned as part of the Asus Transformer promotion on the BB website. I have no idea what to think.
 
I think their system is totally screwed up and they are trying to advertise one thing and sell you another...
 
I saw the best buy deal on December 5, it shipped the next day, got it on Friday.

BB uses a different part number for the lower price so they don't have to price match.
 
Well it looks like you may be getting a response!

I would definitely try to stick with it and see if I could get the lower price.

I am relieved to find out I should be getting my flyer on wednesday according to UPS.

If you keep on it, they may try to work something out..

Then again, I could see them pulling a scumbag move like "10% off" -.-

now I just need to go find a screen protector.. shame theydon't sell zagg htc flyer screen protectors at bestbuy.. I must admit I like the fact that they apply them for you.
 
I ordered the Flyer through BB for 299 and I was afraid I wasn't going to get the device since it said backordered on the website (after I ordered it). But, to my surprise I received it a few days ago.

So far so good, decent device and with the .10 apps, I have plenty of content to keep me busy....
 
Just what you see in the thread. They think I received an email specific to the transformer. I told them it was a general email ad for specials and when you got to the webpage it said "click here for more tablet deals" and there it was. I deleted the email and it doesn't matter - it's so old and cold now that all the evidence is gone.

It's a big joke. I really hate Best Buy and always have. This just reinforces it.
