Apple copied LG?!!?!

i really wanted to post a rant on this forum, I'm just hoping the people at the Android forums will be more fair on the topic.

When the LG prada phone came out it was revolutionary, a year later the first iPhone was released, back then Apple was accused for copying LG but nothing happened. NOW with the 4 and the 4S, people are saying the design is elegant and revolutionary!!! They just copied LG even more!!! Don't believe me? Heres a comparison

See what i mean?
 
Apple can make something thats a piece of crap, and Apple fans are going to say it's elegant and revolutionary because it has features that they got from LG or Samsung, patented them, and called the features theirs. Maybe this will get your rant going. :P
 
it is close .. similar.. but I dont see a copy..

if you break down a phone... slab.. touchscreen... flat.. buttons: power, volume, etc...
there is only so many ways you can configure that.

think of the: HTC G1 chin and Motorola hump.. that would be more distinctive
 
Ive often said that but it just doesnt matter . I have also said since jobs returned that Apple is really a marketing company first but you have to admit they do it well.

Completely agreed. They sell a lifestyle. Owning an Apple product has become more about belonging to a social group than about owning a productive piece of technology. Their products are not better than the competition's, but they've found a way to market them as such. Ask anybody what the best phone in the world is, and 9/10 people will tell you that it's the iPhone, without having any idea why.
 
Oh for crying out loud. Anyone that has made anything ever that looks like an Apple product is trying to sue Apple. And Apple is trying to sue anyone that makes anything that looks like an Apple product. And they all need to have a giant collective unbunching of their respective panties and go on their merry way.

I know this is an Android forum, but, really, Apple is not the eye-of-Sauron, root-of-all-that-is-evil, puppy-torturing monster that a lot of people seem to think it is. It's a corporation, designed to make money. Like HTC. Or Sony. Or Motorola. And they make perfectly fine products and I think some people here need to come to terms with that.

The LG Prada line has been one of continuous updates. From featurephones it has turned to Windows Mobile and now Android, and the latest one due this month.

Note, Apple never sued LG. I guess this phone is the reason. The other is that LG makes all the Apple displays and screens.
 
there are samsung parts in apple products too... did not stop apple from suing samsung.

should google purchase LG's phone/tablet division?
 
WOW... thats really uncanny. LG even called it the iPad and LG isn't going to sue because it supplies the screen on the iPad. But...

LG should sue now!!!!
 
everyone copies everyone. thats why I own most everything that comes out tech wise, I have an android tab, iphone, getting a samsung phone have PC's and Mac. they are all just copies in a big circle. I will say this, the build quality of apple products far exceed any of the big 3 in the android world. meaning samsung, lg, and motorola. the feel of quality on the apple products is well worth the apple tax. I would love to pick up a new samsung and have it not feel like a toy.

Im not ragging on the product itself just the build quality of the materials used. I am just waiting until after christmas to pick up my new S2X from telus, and im super stoked to get it. it will make a great addition to my line up!
 
what amazes me is that when a new apple product, eg iphone 5 comes out there will be millions of pre orders and crowds world wide but yet they don't even know if it has bluetooth or what processor it runs on, but they will still spend $800 buying it...i don't understand...will someone please explain it to me.

completely disagree. Every POS Windows computer I would own would get a virus within a year. I have had 5 Macs, not even so much as spyware let alone a virus and doing the exact same things. That alone makes Apple worlds better than any junk MS run product. My iPad is also far more productive than anything anyone else has released. Deny it all you haters want but Apple changes the tech world. They don't invent tech but as soon as they put their touch on it and it starts selling, all the other companies scramble to copy it. Funny.
