Anyone get one from Newegg?

So I preordered mine back on Nov 26th. They had an ETA of 12/27 for a long time but now they show nothing. Trying to talk to customer service got me no answers as to when they will get them in or ship them out.

Anyone heard any info about when when can expect things from Newegg? I've had really good dealings with them in the past, but they are really frustrating me with this.
 
I ordered mine around the same time and have heard nothing. I emailed them when other online retailers began shipping preorders and they said they were on track for 12/27. Let's hope that's still true.
 
i ordered one 11/26 thru newegg and just got the confirmation today that the order is processing (out of pre-order status). expected to ship tomorrow and arrive wed.
 
As am I. I have read on here that some folks got a champagne one with no preorder. I would think that if Newegg would have thought that they weren't going to be able to produce the grey ones then they would have given the preorder folks the option to change. I suppose I was wrong. I should have ditched this preorder and went with Gamestop from the get go, but I was banking on the solid results I have had with Newegg in the past. I will hold judgement until tomorrow LOL.
 
it is tuesday and still no word here on hold for the grey 32 gig its starting to get really annoying not even hearing a word, atleast a simple we are expecting or we have heard we will not get or something lol but lets hope by end of today i see change in status

I got lucky on Friday and was just sitting on Neweggs site pressing F5 on the Champagne 32gb and boom it said add to cart, I was floored. Purchased it in about a minute just to make sure I didn't lose it. Total luck!

lol ya i noticed when they went on also but that kind of gave me hope that the 27th was gonna be the day but not looking to good now :(
 
I'm not sure why or by whom but I feel like we are getting jerked around here. I mean it has been verified that other Asus partner and non Asus-partner retailers have shipped units. It has also been verified that Newegg has shipped Champagne units. I mean hell if you can't get it don't give me 12/27/2011 on your website for weeks and then not deliver. I would be more happy if they just did like other retailers and said the expected date was late January.

I'm seriously considering saving 150 bucks and getting an a500. I really wanted a tab to take on my honeymoon on Jan. 8 . I'm starting to convince myself more and more that the a500 will do everything I want it to do and more plus Acer already said it would get ICS eventually. :cool:

ya these guys are hurting alot of long time customers like myself, like i said b4 also if they would of just sent us pre orders an email saying there is a delay and there is no expected date but possibly by late jan, then atleast we have nothing to bitch about lol
 
Yeah and I totally would have taken the champagne one if they had offered it to me in order to get it earlier. At this point I really just either want some info on when I can expect the thing or just freaking send it to me, so I can stop checking newegg 10 times a day.
 
I just got a different response from the online rep that I chatted with. Before this I have been getting the standard cookie cutter response. He confirmed that today was the "release date" from what he could see and that they are processing preorders as the came in. Of course he told me he didn't have access to tell me where I was in line.
 
That sounds more promising. I've been getting the standard responses as well. Keeping my fingers crossed on hearing something soon then. Thanks.

ya tell me about it i keep telling myself just leave it alone and it will get sent when it does.....then 10 min later im checking email,newegg and this site lol
 
I've read on another forum a couple of people that had preorder got shipping notifications and tracking numbers. One guy preorderd on 11/25 and the other on 11/26, like myself. I'm not sure what memory size or color though. It seems like maybe all Newegg got was champagne....dunno.
 
So I got an email back from Newegg cust service today saying that the stock they got in for the primes did not cover all of the preorders so some of us will be getting them and some not. No idea where the cut off is. They also said they have no idea right now when they are getting more in. Yea...

So I would imagine that if I don't hear something by tomorrow about my preorder getting filled that it is likely going to be a while. Guess it is time to start scouring other sources to see if I can snag one, though the prospects aren't looking good of getting this anytime soon.
 
I was able to slip in an order with Office Depot earlier this afternoon that is set for delivery for 12/29 (I'll believe it when I see it).....however the good news for me is that the website now says the are out of stock. Also they have already charged my credit card in full......looks like I'll be cancelling my newegg order tomorrow.
 
Got mine from Newegg. Delivered last night. Awesome! 32GB Champagne.
