Hi to all,
I just ran into this very cool application Community | SportyPal ;
It seems to be very interasting application more about exercising i prefer biking, it works on every type of android. Very organized web page. Easy to upload the information and it gives full info about the position, movement, distance, average speed and calories burned. Simply amaizing and it's free. =D>
I'm using A. dream and on my phone it works perfect.
Has anyone else try it? let me see your tracks ;)

Cool spam bro.

Don't forget, theres hundreds of applications like yours, such as CardioTrainer (My personal vote), MyTracks, and BuddyRunner (Personally, the worst of them all; its only got its great advertising keeping it alive). Also, in b4 "you didn't try the app". I have, actually; SportyPal is basically a prettier, albeit a bit less functional clone of CardioTrainer (SP lacks voice command and a race against yourself feature).

I gave both above mentioned apps a try yesterday doing some driving. I must admit they both have good/pro's and cons between the two.

I think that SportBuddy apps is slick and the website is even slicker.

CardioTrainer is a little simpler on the interface, but straight to the point as well as the web interface.

If I was to pick an app soley on the app its self I would say CardioTrainer, but If I was to pick the web interface it would be SportBuddy.

So Now I'm 50/50 at the moment. I haven't tried the voice command and a race against yourself feature in CardioTrainer yet, but I will. I'm not a huge runner, biker, but honestly things like these apps pushing you I might take up some. Lord knows I can really use it. ;) If the race against yourself works as well as I hope it then it might be a winner.

Anys thats my 2cents on the subject so far.

I couldn't try CT functionality against yourself feature it is pay version and it is not availible for me. Question about voice command. How it is work? Are you give the CT comands as start, stop...with your voice?

Kilikas, thanks for the info....

I used on my iphone similar application....

but this has everything you explain.....

I like Rollerblading button on it, and community, my friends will see my workouts during my stay out of country....

Facebook button on the web is nice.....

You can all say what's on your mind, but I'm very satisfied from this app.
I do like to take a ride with my bike from time to time, and the accuracy that this thing is showing it's really comparable even with the GPS devices like Garmin. Just check this track here:

Hey I just tried this app and it is pretty cool. It's got a lot of blue...blue...lots...of...blue...(which I don't really like) and a rotating menu!

I also tried CardioTrainer and that's pretty cool too. Right now it's really between the two but I'm leaning towards CardioTrainer as their customer support ppl were actually nice (something which i fail to find in tech support everywhere!). I'm probably a bit biased, but that along with "Race Against Yourself" has made me leaning towards CardioTariner..a lot.

Hope everyone picks one of these up tho, since exercising and reducing my waist size is pretty darn great in my book.

I've used SP for the past couple days and today it shut down about 1/2 mile before I was finished. Not sure what happened, was carrying the phone in my hand. I also know the max speed is wrong because I walking with two friends with jogging here and there..and the max speed is marked where we were walking. It's also marked as infinity mph...hehe. I like uploading to the site but I might try CT tomorrow.

Have noticed something new, when I go to the setting menu i found this new setting about voice feedback

And it worked well (the distance/time voice did not stop the music)

Thanks for the heads up on the new voice notification option. I didn't even realize I installed a new version.

I did just try cardio trainer and that is nice too. I like the auto pause option. The first time I tried sportypal, I already got my track messed up by it not having that feature. Its probably enough to move me to cardio trainer
