Help Delete Desktop apps?

How do you delete the apps that you have on the "desktop" or background on this thing?

I added shortcuts that I obviously didn't mean to and can't delete

Any help is appreciated a lot I am new to the phone and site :cool:

simply long press on the item you want to delete and drag to the bottom of the screen the apps tray becomes a trash can just drop in there and your done...
