i doubt the update will make the phone perform better than cm7.1 or some of the other roms.
i mean, the way i see it is, the update is coming from the people who created the problem in the first place.....
Yeah. And also, isnt the easy wifi and all that a major battery hog? You guys are talking about the fix for rebooting. I wanna see how it is overall. Im not here to start a war I'm js. There should be a list of the good outcomes of 2.2.2 update. And not just the Fixed my reboot thanks choice. And also, some of us managed to not upgrade our phones to 2.2.2 which caused it to bootloop. Show a process on how to get back to normal if the bootloop failed just in case and explain how it got bootlooped in the first place. Im just saying, I see many people barge in and try new things for the hell of it. I just wanna hear good things about the update. An overall review. Is it worth it or not? Should we wait to update until its rooted? Do any roms compare with the stock rom? Not here to cause trouble. But if you guys are saying it fixed rebooting then prove it. State the facts.
Im js. I never experienced and reboot issues. But my other phone has, but it was on 2.2.2 so thats why I find the update to have no effect. Its not even like a memory issue. It does it barely but it will soon happen!
Anywhoo. Has anyone gotten good battery? Or better yet. Provide details why some people werent able to successfully update to 2.2.2? And lets not jump to wrong drivers installed and all that. I installed all 3 lg drivers. And didnt work for me. So if anyone could please post a fix around this?
I'm convinced that this phone will be rootable in the next few weeks. So that being said, you just root, then flash a recovery, followed by the rom. Couldn't you remove a kernel from a ROM so that it doesn't flash over this new kernel? I mean like you wouldn't be able to OC, but you would have a CM7 without the reboots.

If it does get rooted. Imagine the time to create the recovery and flash a rom. Or better yet.. How long it would even take to get the 2.2.2 kernel to a cm7 or any rom. If this does get rooted. It wouldnt be as simple as just rooting then flashing a rom instantly.
I am running Reppards CM7 and I have reboot issues. How do I install the update? I mean do I do some sort downgrade first?
Thanks
