It's nice to have a massive community around that can commentate the shit out of a product.

From what rnlcomp was saying, the OtterBox Commuter is a rubber sleeve + hard shell type of case (like 2 layers, from how I'm understanding it). Is your Seidio the same way, or is it just a hard shell?
 
seidio has both. One with just the hard plastic (called Surface) and another with the silicone (called Active).

I posted a review with pictures yesterday that will show what the Surface case looks like. There is also a link at the bottom of that post that will have pictures of what the Active case looks like.

Ah okay, I found your review of the Seidio Surface (http://androidforums.com/motorola-droid-razr/481936-review-pics-seidio-surface-case-holster.html) and it looks pretty good. I'm just curious what the smallest profile hard-case around is, that isn't cheap & brittle or just poorly made.
 
Well, I looked around online a little bit more to compare the overall size of the Seidio Surface vs the OtterBox Commuter cases, and this is what I found;

Seidio Surface - 5.2 (height) x 2.8 (width) x 0.6 inches (thickness); 2.1 ounces
OtterBox Commuter - 5.4 (height) x 3 (width) x 0.5 inches (thickness); 1.4 ounces

So, what it boils down to (if you're like me, and trying to decide between these 2 particular cases) is profile size vs thickness. Personally, I think I'd rather go with the thinner of the two, the OtterBox Commuter (and it's just a tiny bit lighter). Also, the two cases are almost the exact same price, both a little under $23 USD on Amazon.
 
Well, just got my Droid RAZR today (along with an OtterBox Commuter from Verizon for $26) and I'm in love. I'm kind of biased because it's my 1st smartphone ever and my 1st new phone in 3-4 years. The screen is so big, and so clear/sharp. There's so much to do with it that I skipped sleeping today (I run on backwards hours kinda, long story) just to play with my new RAZR! :D
 
I have a question about apps, and didn't think it warranted a whole new thread just to ask. Where can I get an app for my "status update" thing at the top of my phone, with WiFi controls? Also, looking for one that can give me detailed info about my battery. I've currently got these 2 kinds of apps as widgets on my home screen but I'd rather have them tucked in that update drop-down.

Dunno bout the wifi controls but I use battery cirlce from the market, it places an indicator in the notification bar up top. Incrememnts of 1% as well as temperature.

Cool thanks, I've got Battery Circle now as well. Weather Bug is on the notification page too, but I don't really care for Weather Bug in particular. Anyone know a better weather app that will be in the notification bar?

Or better yet, does anyone know if there's a way to put apps up there?
 
I keep reading that the Droid RAZR comes with 16gb internal storage & 16gb MicroSD. When I connect my RAZR to my computer though, it tell's me (under My Computer) that the internal storage space has only 8gb total. Is it telling me that's all there is because it's only 8gb, or is it some case of partitioning and I can't even access the other 6gb (because it's all essential for the phone to run)?

It has been mentioned multiple times that the internal memory is partitioned and 8GB is used by the System, WebTop etc.

Ah okay my bad, I wasn't sure so I figured I'd ask. Actually, I've got quite a few questions (including the one right above my post) but I don't wanna keep making new threads with different issues. :(

1. I think Beautiful Widgets can show temperature on notification bar.
2. There is a way to put app shortcuts in notification pull down. One way to do it is use Widgetsoid and put shortcuts on it and make it a notification bar thing. Another way is to use Notification Toggle, Bar Shortcut, Bar Control or some other app with similar functionality.

Mkay I'll look into those both. Is there a free version of beautiful widgets? Or rather, is Beautiful Live Weather the same thing, for what I'm looking for? I seem to be having an issue with Yahoo Messenger, that when I try to video call it bugs and WILL NOT stop rining no matter what (unless I power off the phone). Has anyone else experienced this?

Also, I remember hearing something about playing ROM games on my phone (like I would using an emulator on my PC) and was interested in it, unless I have to root my phone. I'd kinda like to avoid rooting if possible.

Beautiful Widgets is free on GetJar.com Live weather is just a live wallapper - not worth a hassle IMO.

No idea about Yahoo as I never used it, maybe it is simply incompatible with the phone.

ROM emulators are available on the Market.
 
Weatherbug has a notification bar temperature. I'm pretty sure the free version will do it....
 
Sadly I use two weather widgets; beautiful widget (because it goes into the notification bar) but you cannot add a list of locations to monitor and the stock weather widget so I can set a couple of other cities i'm intersted in). I really wish beautiful widget had this feature (I picked it up during the 0.10 sale)-

Yeah I kinda hate Weatherbug, despise it actually. This goes all the way back from when it first came out (on PC). It's too simplistic and ugly and lame etc etc but that's just me. Beautiful Widgets works perfectly well, and it looks 1,000% better than Weatherbug.

Beautiful Widget was free on GetJar.com (and still is).
 
i forget the pattern after i click a lot too many pattern attempts..now he asked the user name and password..tell me any solution thanks

There's almost an intimidating amount of ROM emulators on the Market, plus some say they require the phone to be rooted (while others say nothing at all). Is anyone able to shed some light on the best ROM emulators around that DON'T require your phone to be rooted?
