[Verizon] [MOD] Nova Launcher-Folder Images (revised 2/24)

can't seem to get it to work on codename android.....*update* couldn't get it to flash thru cwm but it worked when i pushed it as a system/app...*update* not able to install the mod now with codename android 1.1...got it to work on 1.0.1, but no dice now.

That's odd. Were you able to use the standard Nova Launcher with codename android?
 
Could you just reference which pictures you replaced, and with what? Ironic that I am asking this, but it would be much easier for me to just extract the original apk, replace files, and then rezip this thing with Root explorer than to go around flashing things.

So...you just replaced the portal_whatever.png (the one that was a circle)? Did you also replace the highlights?

yeah nova launcher is working just fine, but for some reason it will just not take the mod either thru flashing or trying to push as a system app. the mod file always aborts the installation, thinking about just pulling out the png's and manually importing

I replaced all the portal .pngs into the drawable folder.

Yea, that is just what I did. I'm not sure why it wont work for you.

Has anyone successfully flashed this or did I do it wrong?
 
I did just try, and it did not work.

One thing I saw instantly is you tried to delete Novalauncher.apk in the script. That is not what it is called. It is something like com.teslacoil.launcher-1.apk (or at least it is on my system).

Aside from that, the file you pushed is not an apk (it is just named NovaLauncher).

Did the update.zip work on your ROM, or did the apk you made work on your ROM?

Ummm...OOPS!!! :o:o I may or may not have uploaded the wrong zip (ok, I messed up!).

I'm Updating OP now. Please let me know if new zip works. If it doesn't I will give up and leave this to someone more professional than me :o

BTW, the script was untouched by me (came straight from the Dev). It removes any previous Nova versions then pushes the apk.

It works. Will you be updating this with all future versions of NovaLauncher (or until the dev sees the light and bakes this feature in?)

Thanks, I like you're theme! I'll be trying to keep this updated for future nova releases (until like you said, the dev builds it in). I'm thinking of adding different styles also, depending how good my Photoshop skills are... lol
 
This doesn't seem to be working on NovaLauncher b12.

Tried clearing cache/dalvik and reflashing.

Can anyone else confirm this?
 
Are you using the APK files for the most recent version to make the mods? I installed a few days ago and it appeared to be v2
 
So does this mean that everytime nova updates his launcher then we have to wait for OP to update this post to support the newest version?

Yes, or you can pull the images and package yourself too. That's all I did, I only uploaded because I figured other people would want it who doesn't know how to do it. :)
