I've been waiting on the nexus-incredible-desire-bravo to hit verizon for a few months now. I picked up a droid for $250 on craigslist in December to hold me over. I have become attached to the droid. The phone is awesome and fits perfectly into my business and personal life. The upgrade better be pretty awesome if I'm giving up my droid.

I have to agree, all signs point to this phone being more of a Droid counterpart than an Eris replacement. My real fear still comes to the RAM that they are looking at putting in this thing. If the rumors of 256 are true I can't see this device being a good choice as a long term investment. I notice a lot of people on this board are similar to me in the fact that they purchase a phone, become comfortable and then keep it until it breaks. The only reason I'm looking to upgrade is because I want an Android device and I'm sick of BlackBerry OS. Again, if this thing comes out with less than stellar specs (yes I avoided using the word incredible to make a pun) then I can't see many people really going to pick this up when the N1 is clearly coming and will be a powerful device.

To clarify...my previous speculation suggested that the EOL for the Droid Eris was bad news because it was happening due to the fact that the Eris would be too similar to the Incredible.

Perhaps it could be argued that even the arrival of a phone like the Desire would cause the EOL for the Eris? But what I meant by bad news is the not just the EOL....but also the smaller battery. Also, the suggestion that the Incredible will have 256 RAM makes me think that I'm not going to get so excited just yet.

It seems like people have been pretty optimistic when suggesting that the Incredible may indeed look more like the Desire when it's finally released. I don't see it...and think this is very wishful thinking. I still think the Incredible and Supersonic look a lot alike but wonder about the specs lackign when compared to the N1 and Desire. So I think the styling of the Incredible is already happening with the Supersonic...even if the specs don't match. So it's not far fetched to believe that what we see is what we will get. I'm not a fan of that look as it is iPhonish...looks a bit dated and is nowhere as nice looking as the Desire. But I can overlook the looks. Overlooking the smaller battery and the unknown but possibly disappointing RAM is a different story. That would be enough to make me think about breaking my promise to myself and going to AT&T for the Desire...or getting an N1 on Verizon. Probably the latter would be true.

Simply put...if I could point to one thing that really takes the wind out of my sails it is the screen shot of the 1300mh battery. This makes me think this phone is indeed a step up from the Eris...but far from being incredible. If I'm wrong I will be very pleased.

I wish both the Nexus One and the HTC Incredible come out within like 3 weeks.......

If the HTC Incredible ships with 512mb ram or more, im definitely gonna choose it over the Nexus One.

thats the supersonic. i saw a pic of it somewhere and the buttons were exactly like that. 4"(?) screen i think. you can tell that screen is bigger than the N1 screen. sprint customers are in for a treat!

It's not the supersonic....its been established that this is clearly the HTC Incredible. If you view some previous posts, one User was kind enough to take a screenshot of the video and you can clearly see the Optical tackpad and silver ring on the device. It is the HTC Incredible, the buttons are also a lot different, there is no ring around them like the HTC Supersonic has.

So one way to potentially see if the PB31200 filing is the incredible ADR6300VW, would be to look at the FCC# on the droid eris and check out its filing and see if the battery# matches up with the droid verizon stock # of ADR6200VW. Wonderbread correlated the battery number which had 6300 in it, to the ADR6300VW stock # of the incredible.

I checked out the FCC filing for the Eris with # PB00100 and I couldn't find info on the battery #. But I did find a page in the PB31200 filing that listed the battery as "BB96100/BTR6300B" So it's definitely not conclusive, nothing in this crazy forum is lol...but i'm still under the impression that the PB31200 filing is NOT the incredible...1300mAH batter is not good enough, and there is a discrepancy with the bluetooth version...o well, we'll just have to wait and see

Droid Eris = ADR6200VW

Booyeah!

People need to get over the RAM thing. It simply will not have 256 mb of RAM unless they have figured out the MSD card thing. Which they haven't or it would have been reported. It will most likely support 720 video and be on par or better than the desire. They put something out there lie that w/ 256mb.

If some guy in a dark room reported it had a TFT LCD would everyone still be stewing over that?

Ok, I finally registered so I thought I'd make my first post. Been lurking since November, when I wanted to learn about the Droid that was coming out. Previously, I was convinced that I was gonna make an iPhone my 1st smart phone, but it didn't take long to see that Android was the way I'd go. Now, just waiting for the Incredible to drop! I'm just excited about the thought of having a camera on my phone!! Sad, huh...

Wonderbread you are going to max out the 'thanked' counter at 999 by the end of the week. Thanks a bunch for all the info and pics!

I did too and woke up with the HD2 running Android 3.0 with 9ghz Snapdragon! It's crazy. The phone can give you a hand job and clean the house while you check email, make a call, send a text, and post in the forums.

Care to guess what I'm doing right now?

a phone that gives handjobs? lol nothing like a nice handjob
<remember a chick lol. Am I really the only female in here?

haha you might be the only one here. Cheers for hanging around! Too bad you won't be able to utilize the rumored hand job feature of the Incredible haha.

Makes since since I seem to get along better with men

It's gonna have a supercharged vibration LOL

Okay Guys, I've been about to blow a gasket with all the info coming out lately. Alright, to go along with the awesome work Wonderbread has done today, I took the liberty to enhance the video so we can see the face of the phone better (contrast, brightness, sharpness, etc.). You can now clearly see the optical trackpad so there should be no more confusing this phone as the Supersonic. This is definitely our beloved Incredible. :D We are on the brink guys, great teamwork on the investigating!

Edit: If you want to see it blown up to 720p, watch it on Youtube's site.

Edit 2: I took the video down by request of the original author to protect her employment. While I like a scoop like anyone else, I'm not willing to ruin someone's career over it.

Wonderbread, just tell us all of the other specs and a release date while you're at it! ;)

Following this thread is becoming a full time job...

Good work. Now can you enhance it so we can see the back? ;)
