Then it sounds like your phone doesn't take to kindly to the IAX governor which is a hybrid governor and uses a hotpluging feature when the screen goes off (completely disables one of the cpu cores). I'd try Interactive governor and leave at default voltages and see how that does. My bet is that your screen wake issues will go away. Make sure to "set on boot" when you set it to Interactive.

Interesting! I was just going to post something about how I think I'm starting to notice the poor quality of Samsung's cell radios. As I've mentioned in the past, I live in Boston. My apartment, which is near the water, seems to only get 3G; however, heading just a short ways down the street inland restores 4G right away. You'd think that I should get consistent 4G coverage; however, I notice that 4G and even data signal as a whole goes in and out on a pretty regular basis. It feels as though I'm constantly having to fiddle with the phone, turning airplane mode on and off, or even turning the whole phone off and back on to try to get data signal back. Sometimes when I turn the phone off and back on, it refuses to get any signal at all; even though I leave it alone for several minutes, the problem isn't alleviated at all until I turn it off and back on again. :( The XDA thread mentions people trying to convince Samsung/Verizon to swap their phones for ones with the .10 baseband, perhaps I'll give it a shot as well.

OK, I got the new handset and first things first, I checked for the baseband. Interestingly, it was still on .09 but it was different numbers after the .09 then the nexus I am returning. However, once it upgraded to 4.02 the numbers in the baseband version changed and now match the other nexus...interesting. That being said, i did immediately notice a difference in the contrast level and the blackness of the blacks. The new phone is significantly blacker blacks. I also have noted slightly better dbm . The reason for the exchange was the one way audio issues, I won't know about that until I put the phone to use. I have rooted and unlocked with Wugs newest One step v 1.3 and am in process of restoring my backups. I will post an update on the one way audio issue when I have more information.

humm good luck i have seen the new baseband out and to me i don't see much of a difference even though i just did get a replacement and it was not used but still on the .09
 
some of you may recall that i've been experiencing pretty poor call quality. i've been wanting to take it in to vzw or call support to get a replacement.

am i SOL now that my screen is cracked? is there any hope of getting it replaced (obv i'm trying to avoid going through Asurion).
 
does anyone know, is the sd particion fat32 or ext4? I'm running aokp and faux kernel if that matters

i was looking at a mod that increases the bitrate of the video camera. this increases the quality but also the file size, and fat32 is limited to 4gb files.

I think you may possibly be SOL.
 
Probably old news to most of you but I figured out that I could force a desktop view of a site in the default browser (changed the UAstring to desktop). I knew it worked on my Xoom. Could be useful I guess in some circumstances.

Type about:debug in your browser then go to settings and there should be debug in the menu then find UAstring and change it.

It will change back after you restart your browser or reboot.

You may need to close your browser and try again if the debug menu is not there

Awww. Thank you. It doesn't matter how I try to make an account it will not let me. Either it tells me my password is wrong if I'm using an existing email or it tells me I entered the captcha wrong.

EDIT:

Apparently it didn't want to let me make an account using Nyxie. I use the iPad and it goes through no problem. :o

Is imgur just a free photo sharing site like imageshack? I have 2 paid accounts, photobucket and smugmug, but they have unlimited storage and unlimited files sizes & videos as well.

Yup, it is. I have photobucket too but its free and I dont know how much space I have. Figured another free one can't hurt.

Off the wall thought - this happened to me. Check your keyboard input to make sure that it does not automatically force a capital letter as the first character. Drove me nuts until I figured that out. I was using SlideIT at the time. And password characters were changed to asterisks too quickly to notice. Caused all my entries to be rejected.

I did check. That was it the first time. Nyxie and Imgur dont play nice. Realized this morning that the app was running all night as well. Killed it this morning. But thanks for the tip!
 
Morning all!

Was trying to move my home directory for Ubuntu off of my SSD like I did for Windows 7 and have all my data and downloads and such on my 1TB hard drive and screwed up my entire Ubuntu installation...back to square one I guess, lol.
