Floor Plan Design App

Hi Guys,

First post here, hoping someone can help me.

I'm looking for a free app that will allow me to draw up floor plans of apartments and houses.

Nothing fancy, just a simple app where by I can create an entire floor plan showing all the measurements of a room.

Does such an app exist?

I've spent a few hours googling and searching the app market but have had no luck.

Appreciate any help.
 
Hi csingh! Welcome to the forum.

Having been on the development side of computer drafting systems, I would think there's nothing out there just because no one has yet figured out how to provide all the required functionality on such a small screen. I'm talking about systems like AutoCad or MicroStation. I have not tried any of the smaller windows architectural design programs but I suspect creating an android-friendly menu system for them would be as difficult. And I don't think anyone would give it away if they could come up with required functionality.

There's an Android app for Samsung devices. Currently only Galaxy Note and Tab are supported, but during next few weeks all android devices should be supported. Check it out in Samsung Apps - application is called "Floor Plan Creator".
