After 4 emails, Asus told me to do an RMA for my prime because of GPS issue !
My argument with Asus was the fact that when I purchased my Prime, on Dec. 24th, from Bestbuy, GPS was listed as a feature ! Not "limited GPS" ! Not "So-So GPS". To my understanding, when a product list GPS as a spec, it is a fully functioning GPS !
Within my 14 day return period, with BB, issues were raised at this forum and others about the GPS issue and being the owner of 2 other Asus products, I believed Asus would do the right thing and fix this issue !
Well as we all know they didn't fix the issue, in fact they've tried to make it a "Non-issue" by saying things like, "Well , this device was never intended to be a fully functioning GPS device".............I must have missed that in the fine print when I purchased mine and then to try and make it an even bigger "Non-issue" , when they remove any mention of GPS from the spec sheet !
I'm not sure how many of you feel as a consumer, when things like this happen but, I for one do not consider it to be a very wise move on Asus part and I feel a taken advantage of as a consumer, when certain features are removed, after purchasing, all because it was not tested properly !
All I asked Asus for was for one of the following: A rebate check, A discount off accessories or a full refund and what do I get .....RMA it !
Have I missed something and they actually have a fix for GPS or is this just more bait and switch tactics !
