Post Your Battery Life!

I wasnt getting good battery life. I then ran my maxx down until it shut off. Charged it back to 100, which took hours. Now im seeing impressive results. These lithium batteries have an internal protection circuit that shuts the device off before its totally drained, which would damage the battery. Now, if it sat on a shelf without charging for a week after it shut off, it could allow the battery to drain completely, causing damage. I do a complete discharge cycle once a month on my ipad to recalibrate the battery. Apple recommends this right on it's website.

If this works and it appears it may.
Max u da man; or woman.... :D

This is just night and day from yesterday and today. I'm still at 80% going on 14 hours. Yesterday at 14 hours I was at about 15% and the phone was dead at 15 1/2. The only difference today was I had yahoo mail off and let the phone completely die before charging last night. I think at this point I can get another full day or maybe 2 out of whats left on the battery. We will see what the battery is at when I get up in the morning. Another thing is I have had wifi turned on for most of the day today and I put on a live background. So I will turn yahoo mail back on, on Monday and see if that brings me back to bad battery life.

After 17 hours, down to 40%. The last 3 1/2 hours were spent playing music nonstop, so a drop of about 10% playing music for 3 1/2 hours. I'm a happy camper.

I just made the jump from Att iPhone to Verizon razr maxx and sad to say the battery life is terrible compared to the over 1 year Old iPhone I had. Is this a defective phone or what I should expect.

Does your iPhone have a 4.3" screen, dual core CPU and LTE?

Let the battery run out until the phone shuts itself off and then charge it.

So far at 24 hours and phone is at 50% battery left. I'm going to see if I can make it 48 hours. Though the funny thing is my Droid incredible is keeping up with the maxx right now at also being at 50% battery at 24 hours and on wifi. Granted the DINC no longer has Verizons network on it and I'm not using it as much as the Maxx. My usage on the maxx I would say is light/normal use. Some web browsing, played Lets Golf 2 for probably an hour, about 100 texts, words with friends, played around in Google earth for 15 minutes and wifi is on.

Not really the answer I was looking for, but let me say this, after 3 days of use this can have whatever specs they want to print on the box. the iPhone is a more polished unit. So because it's dual core and 4.3 screen it's OK if battery life stinks to you? Thankfully I didn't get the standard razr. I imagine that i would have had to charge it twice a day.

Just CDMA signal is a lot stronger so it will be more of a battery drain.

So why don't you just go back to the iphone. You should still be in the return window. For those of us that enjoy android and 4G LTE, we appreciate the added battery life, because it isn't faux 4G provided by the AT&T iphone or the 3G offered on the Verizon iphone. Add 4G LTE to either device, and see what happens to the battery life on those phones. Why do you think apple didn't add LTE availability to the 4S. Those of us on the Android also enjoy customization which iOS doesn't allow. I have apple products, so I don't see myself as a fan boy of one product or the other.

Ok after letting my battery drain to zero. Unplugged at 3:30 sat. Its Sun at noon my batt was 50%. Charged it til my phone was back to 50% but at 3:30 my phone is at 40%. I say significant improvement.... wow. I wont run the batt past 30% til my next batt drain.
Thanks again for the tip Max.....

Purposely left mine off charger to test battery from 100 to 0. With normal use, 4g on the whole time, I got:
1 and a half DAYS! Damn!!

Some of you guys are getting awesome battery life!

Mine is average but again, my screens are filled with a bunch widgets as well as using widget locker. I've toyed with the idea of resetting my phone and starting again from scratch but so far battery life hasnt been an issue.

Try draining the battery all the way to 0, and then recharge all the way to 100%.

It should improve your battery considerably:D

I did run down my battery the first full day i had it. It went 26 hours before dying and that was with a pretty good amount of use. Since then I have loaded my homescreens with widgets. Not a big deal at this point, the battery is lasting way longer than any other 4G phone I have had.

Cool.......................

Battery life is nothing short of phenomenal for any phone. I let mine run down to give it a full charge just for grins and it took two days. I only need a full day on any device since I always charge overnite anyway. Just sayin' this battery rocks!

Some of these posts sound amazing! I just squeezed about 1 day 8 hours on my current phone (DROID original). That's with pretty light use on it though. I'm a fairly light user, doing maybe facebook, e-mail, wordfeud... that's about it. Maybe a couple times a week, if I get bored at work or on campus, I will play some other more intensive games or netflix. I noticed on a boring day I watched 2 episodes of family guy using netflix on 3G, and my phone dropped 40%. I'm hoping (and pretty sure) the Maxx will do better than that. If I can get 24+ hours out of the Maxx like my current one, I'll be a happy camper.

I usually unplug in the morning and plug in at night, but every other night I'm usually at my girlfriends place so I need the 24+ hours so that the next morning I still have enough juice to get me through classes. My DROID can do that sometimes, but occasionally I'll be at 20% at night and I'll do a quick charge on the drive in the next mornign.

Seems like the MAXX will do it, and then some. The 46 hours seems crazy long on a smartphone. I'm just curious if a Galaxy Nexus can maybe hit 24 hours on light use also. I'm willing to bet that on my boring days though, if I want to watch some netflix, the Galaxy Nexus will drain pretty quick compared to the Maxx. I can handle charging my phone every night, but I don't want to have to charge midday. Either way, I'm going into Verizon this Wednesday to check out these 2 phones since my upgrade was 4 days ago!

Apparently TuneInRadio on 4G rapes the battery. Dropped 20% in a hour running TuneInRadio, phone was noticeably warm to the touch. Switched to WinAmp, rockin' and rollin' with that.
