Should i trade my IPhone 4S for the Maxx??

I just used my upgrade and bought the iPhone 4S... I am not impressed in any way with its small screen, no flash support and low video quality... I still have a week to return this and was going to get the Nexus but after reading some reviews I landed on the Maxx due to its Battery and Kevlar casing... So would turning my iPhone for this be a good idea? Is the maxx for sure getting ice cream sandwich? Give me some insight guys
 
Yes, the Maxx is scheduled to get ICS in the 2nd quarter. Sounds like you have already made up your mind!

I traded in my iphone 4 for the nexus. I was unhappy with signal and battery life. I LOVE my maxx. Im keeping it! If any phone were to rival the iphone it would be the maxx. Do it!

Depends what your looking for in a phone. My girlfriend recently got the iphone 4S and loves it. It gets the job done, and has pretty good battery life, especially on wifi. I'm sure you know how the battery is like on your phone though. Keep in mind, depending how you use it obviously, an android phone will likely drain your battery quicker than an iphone.

But it sounds like you don't like the display on yours and want bigger and crisper. I would go back to the store and look at the displays on the the Maxx and the Nexus. See which one feels better in your hands. It's going to be bigger than your iphone, but not fatter. It seems you already researched about the phones, so if you want to make sure you have good battery life to be on par with your iphone, I'd get the Maxx. You'll get ICS eventually on it, so that is a huge plus. I don't think the kevlar casing is worth buying the phone outright, but it is a bonus with all the other pluses on the phone.

You'll get way more customization out of an android system. I'm not really a huge fan of just having apps on my display. It is a lot more fun to be able to do nearly anything I want with my phone. And I only have the original DROID until a few more days! I'm heavily leaning towards the Maxx because the battery life sounds outstanding.
 
Great post. I have an iPhone 4S and was tempted by the Maxx. Picked it up, and aside from some "growing pains" in figuring stuff out, I'm really happy.

About the only gripe I have that I can't seem to control is the slide lock. My hands are too small to do it one-handed and I can't figure out a solution to turn that off while retaining the ability to add a PIN lock after an hour of not being used.
 
I've been an android user since the D1, but after my negative experience with the Galaxy Nexus, I picked up an iPhone 4s because I just couldn't get excited about any of the other current Verizon android offerings. I actually think there are a couple of things that the iPhone does really well, but there are definitely things that I miss about a big screened android.

Thinking about picking up a Maxx, but at full price... yikes!
 
I ordered a Razr Maxx today (not available in store :( ). Upgrading from an iPhone 4. Before the iPhone I had the DroidX.

Can't wait to get my new phone!!
 
Last December i traded my iphone 4s for a galaxy nexus because i got caught up in the hype and that was the worst mistake i have ever made. I just love how everything just works on the iphone without having to download something or make some random change. Thank goodness someone else really wanted a nexus and happen to trade me back an iphone 4s.

The maxx looks like a fun phone but the screen (qhd) and seeing how motorola loves to make you hate buying their phones (hi bionic and razr owners) keeps me from paying full price for this phone to have both os.
 
You should have been a little more patient and waited for the iPhone 5 instead of wasting your upgrade on the 4s. 4s is just a stepping stone and a way for Apple to make some extra money.
 
Talk about a sturdy feeling phone, wowers.


The battery life is AMAZING and 4g is sick fast.

I haven't gushed about a phone since I bought my Incredible.
 
I activated my new Maxx last night and have been tinkering ever since. I'm really liking this phone! My 4s is resting in a drawer... It's really a beautiful device, but I was missing Android big time.

What a good step up for Motorola. I thought I would never buy again after the Droid 3, but I guess never say never!

^^^ I have a droid razr maxx i wanna trade for the iphone 4s let me know if your interested i really want the iphone 4s
