Tethering?

If i use a third party app to tether the internet off my phone will i get charged extra? I have the unlimited plan.

what are you confused about?

Well, I'm not too sure about what you meant by 7GB. Before switching to Sprint I had Metro PCs so I would never have to worry about data, thats why I'm not sure about all this stuff that has to do with tethering. I just don't want to be billed for doing something I didn't know I would be billed for.

7GB = 7 Giga Bytes of data...
I am referring to the amount of data you can use. Yes you are unlimited data. but only as much as your PHONE can use. if you tether another device to your phone.. so it can use data.. that is outside the sprint agreement. you have to pay for the right to do this...$30/month tethering plan.

if you are using a 3rd party software to go around the sprint $30 fee, so you can tether data to a 2nd device.... i am suggesting that you stay under 7GB a month of data.. so that they do not get upset and start charging you.

Also,if you do have the hotspot/tether add-on from SPRINT,you are only allowed to tether a set amount per billing cycle,will get the exact number momentarily.

Just to clarify,this feature (5GB of mobile hotspot/tethering) is $29.00/mo.,in addition to your base phone/data plan.

So in summary, keep it on the downlow and don't use your phone as your primary internet access point and you should be fine. Web browsing, light uploads/downloads should be fine; torrents = bad.

oh ok thanks i get it now. Yea i only want to tether a bit of internet to my little brothers ipod touch.
